Supercharged

i'm driving 06 wish too.

Am also looking for replacement, but just impossible to consider Grand Scenic as a viable replacement, as in terms of space i would say it's 2 steps down c.f. Wish leh...

But yes, in terms of gadgets, technology, it's prob 2 steps up... Then again, with kids growing up, i need more space rather than these 'bells and whistles'...

well different families different needs. my wife like the sturdy feel. and our family is only 3 members so we wont need the last row. we use the last row for barang barang only. SUV wont be able to give you the amount of space as MPV with back seats down so we took the scenic as the family car. personally for work I drove my S60.

Arrh... yes, then you made a logical choice. I'm different cos by kids are likely to grow up to be quite tall, and my parents stay with me.

Just curious to check out Euro MPVs, and Grand Scenic was the 4th one i saw. Struck off straight away given the size issue... The only one that we didn't even ask for the catalogue, as the SEs were busy closing deals and didn't have time for us (which was good...).

Ya.. it is not the best but rather the most value for money. it is priced at jap level with much more goodie. even though total tax equal to that 2l petrol, I only need to pump once a month compared to twice a month. so easily I can save at least 60 buck a month so 12mths I save 720buck min..so still make sense although I don't travel much and servicing is 15k interval so maybe once a year like my S60, plus 5 year maintenance free. so overall cost still make sense.

Anyone went to see avanza?

Any comments ? Seems quite spacious in terms of leg room n boot space when all seats up.

Forget about avanza, its the worst car i ever drive when i rent in Bali. Less than 30 min journey, your back will be in pain

Yes bro.. I'm a Trajet owner n loving it since owning it 2 yes ago.. Fc getting ard 8.. So not too bad for a 2l n almost 2ton body:-)

Still left 18mth to drive.. Hunting for the next replacement w the big space to sit 8ppl w boot space...

Banite look a close match in term of size n it one of the lower price MPV... Will consider it if the coe is much lower in 18 month time

I am also a ex-trajet owner, I believe at this moment, Sangyong Stavic 2.0 Diesel turbo will be a gd replacement for trajet in term of space and running cost...of cos, provided you dun mind the brand...

I don't it is cheap right? Korean cars have over the years close up the price gap with Jap cars. So I don't really find Korea car attractive anymore.

If you on a budget for a full size MPV, stavic offer pretty gd space, and you will save a lot of fuel cost if you travel a lot. (I used to pay >$600/mth in 2010)...And at $143,888 publish price, I think it offer a lot of space and metal for a budget full size mpv...

Yes you are right ... full size mpv probably that is the cheapest but the gap with other make not as wide as last time. I thought I saw some where that estima going for like 160+k so breakdown into months assuming 20k difference and 120mths. each mth is about 200buck more plus cheaper road tax and fuel saving and maintenance. does it make more sense to go jap? just my thoughts.

Haven't seen any S'pore plate ones on the road...These are made in Indo like those in M'sia?

Test drove the Avanza... 3rd row as in most mid size MPV is best reserved for kids. Boot size comparable to Wish and Stream but cannot fold flat though it has 50:50 split folding. Engine performance is lacking when fully loaded. Engine roar is pretty prominent in the cabin. Take it as a no frills MPV

Spotted a couple. It is more rare than a Ferrari!

Zafira was before trajet, now driving 1.6T C4GP, first 2 row size are similar to trajet but of cos the 3rd row will be narrow and sit 2 only. It fit my needs, lower roadtax, much lower fuel cost and a much more powerful car...cheers
