C&C has their B&B KIA and Luxury MB marques.

So between Jap Mit and Conti Citroen, they chose the latter.

Looking at how well VW and Volvo are doing, ..... And

How poorly Honda and Subaru are doing ,

They may not be wrong after all.

Blame it on the high COE and the weak Euro (vis a vis the JPY)!

Last time, you only see POA for exotic and high end cars. Now, POA is for B&B cars with little buyer's interest. [laugh]

what is POA?

Actually i don't quite understand their strategy, Korean KIA, Conti Citroen, Luxury MB; so Jap Mitsubishi would fit in nicely the gap and have a good spread across the diff segments.

Also, if they really don't want Mitsubishi anymore, should simply give up instead of having this pathetic lineup of models.

Lancer, Galant and Colt as some hv mentioned were good models and whilst I agree that it was tough for the Japs this few years due to the high COE, they could survive as Mazda, Honda, Nissan have shown.

It's a real pity cos I owned a Lancer previously and it was OK and reliable!

The current Lancer is so old already. Who will buy? And Proton had a re-badge model selling in boleh land will make the Lancer even more difficult to sell here.

I'm assuming Mitsubishi Japan have been changing their models like their Jap counterparts so there should be a newer Lancer, Galant etc.

In fact, I believe this shld be the case otherwise Proton wouldn't be able to re-badge the model cos I remember in the past this was the case that Proton always got the previous model.

That said, if Mitsubishi Japan really doesn't have new models manufactured then I take back what I said about C & C cos they can't be blamed then if the manufacturer stop producing!

Mitsubishi has been going downhill for years on a worldwide level. Singapore market is so miniscule and not relevant.

From the way it looks, Mitsubishi really 生不如死. Might as well just close shop. Maybe C&C is also waiting for the distributorship arrangement to end, 一了百了

It's a pity then cos their Evo was the benchmark for boy racers few years back and together with the Subaru STI and WRX, these cars remain the ultimate for car enthusiasts!!

Even their k class Mitsubishi i was a class leader. Also a diff version of the i, if not mistaken was used for test case for electric cars not too long ago.

RIP Mitsubishi!
