If I am not wrong, PL is looking into sports management. I think he has made some forays into that field with Jorge Mendes. I think he is looking into buying player's rights etc

 

He is a smart cookie who made money in stocks and shares so I think this is no different in buying the stocks and shares of players.

 

You could be right on this ie sports mgmt by combining with Mendes to acquire players rights etc.

Just purely owning a football club I doubt will make money on its own n yes Peter's a smart guy so he could be getting into this with a bigger objective.

7 years to make 10x profit ... huat ah! i wonder what is PL target ... 15x?

 

It is also worth noting that through this deal, including satellite clubs New York City FC, Melbourne City and Yokohama Marinos, City are now worth approximately 10 times more than Sheikh Mansour bought the club for in 2008

But if u compare with Chelsea/Roman Abramovich, I don't think he makes any money from his investments though I don't hv any figures. Think he has forked out close to GBP1billion not counting his attempt to rebuild their stadium. Doubt he will ever regain his money so either it's pure passion for the game or washing money though this will surely have attracted the authorities by now if it was true.
