Ur SE quoted u more than 128k?

yup.. 135K before a 5K loan rebate..

This is a great car, the D4 Is the engine to go for.

The D2 is a joke.

Does Volvo offer good trade in price for car more than 9yrs.

for my case is a nono..... no exact price except been told "a little higher than PARF value"..

so I expect a min of 1K plus PARF..... which feel will be better to sell outside......

Wow the D4 sounds juicy. 2L 190bhp 400nm 8spd Auto.

Is the diff with the D5 2L 225bhp 470nm merely tuning?  [idea]

D5 is twin turbo.

0-100 in 6.4s    [grin]

I've been given a V40 T2 as a courtesy car and despite the troubles with my own car, I would say the V40 is quite excellent. It's spacious for a small car, the engine is fun to rev (driving it like a rental helps too) and is way faster than my S80 D2. Although road noise is quite noticeable, general ride comfort is quite acceptable for a small car. Volvo's after-sales service seems quite good too, but that comes having sent my own car in for service quite a few times.

Wow, so lucky that u get a brand new v40 T2 as courtesy car!

Any special reasons or deal involved?

Went to take a look.

V40 T2 spec not great and probably tailored to our local needs, that is relatively lower price and in Cat A, with the same space

Surprised they took off the V40 CC d2 which I thought was a big seller,

Overall V40 series, decent ride not fantastic, but shape as always looks awesome with the safety features and the solid build. The previous v40 d2does not have foldable side mirrors and electronic seats and not keyless.

V40 is excellent for singles or small families

Seems like the T2 is quite well equipped then. Folding side mirrors, electronic seats and keyless entry all included. 0-100 in 9.8sec is quite okay too. It hits 130km/h quite easily.  [laugh]

I was given this car because my S80 D2 (yes, it's freaking slow but I'm averaging 23km/l) had multiple electronic problems. 1 x STOP and Check Engine, 1 x ESP System Failure and 2 x Brake System Failure and Limp Mode. Sent the car in yesterday and they said it'll take them at least till Friday to fix it since they have to wait for assistance from Sweden. Must be a lemon.

During my 10 yrs of wowo ownership I dealed with 3 different swedes tech mgrs who managed to resolve issues at first attempt. Sadly, locals just not up to speed.

Apparently not. Must be some big ECU problem. Quite a frustrating experience with the car. I had sent it in for a total of 4 times in the past 6 months already. First two times was to resolve some steering alignment issue (on a new car), third time was to fix the first three errors. They said all should be well after they did a software upgrade, but yet it happened again and now it's in for a 4th time. I guess it's time to invoke the lemon law.

Under the Lemon Law provisions,

the consumer can demand the seller to repair, or replace the defective product.

If the seller fails to repair or replace the goods within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to consumer, the consumer may ask for a reduction in price or return the product for a refund.

The seller can offer an alternative remedy from the one demanded by the consumer if the cost of the remedy demanded is disproportionate in comparison.

:a-aggressive: Maybe you can start preparing a black and white saying your past experience for the S80 D2 should the problems continues after this Fri.....

Yea, already spoke to the manager about this. But I'll wait till Friday to see what to do next. I don't think it'll be easy to get any sort of reduction in price.

i believe it will be easier compare with "return the product for a refund".....

to add on..... although been offered a courtesy car, it fuel type and consumption its different and the time spent on repetitive unresolved issues.....
