guolian Neutral Newbie September 7, 2016 Share September 7, 2016 Just booked a Yr2016 V40 T2 on 06Sep. SE started discussing from 130,000SGD and of cause I asked for discount. Today, saw on Volvo SG website saying that New V40 (year 2017 model facelift) starts from 129,999. Called SE on this and she mentioned its advertising gimmick to attract crowd to showroom.... the 129,999 is for 2016 and not 2017. Can anyone confirm on this? I would think you are booking the facelift model. The Volvo Spore website also shows the facelift model. If not, hur hur hur...
guolian Neutral Newbie September 8, 2016 Share September 8, 2016 SE called and say $129,999 2017 facelift model is non guaranteed COE... Rebate at 40k... Unlikely to get... Just a gimmick to attract crowd.... Guaranteed is 135k. I'm not convinced at all... Seems like got cheated as this as not mentioned when I was putting deposit, only told me 2017 model guaranteed 135k. Anyway my 2016 v40 is at 122k guaranteed cOE, started discussion from 128k. Any thoughts? And Coe dropped 2k sgd yesterday hahaha
honda1st 1st Gear September 8, 2016 Share September 8, 2016 bro, u may want to join local volvo forum to check with fellow forumers there. here's the link: http://www.volvosgclub.com/index.php unless u really love the FL V40 Thor Hammer LED light, waterfall grill, then i'd suggest u talk to your SE whether can change to the FL model. other than that, the exterior/interior are the same for 2016 and FL model. Wolfverine Twincharged September 8, 2016 Share September 8, 2016 There are couple of car brand local forums where you post a comment and probably receive a response a year later For Conti makes, Singapore Volvo forum is one of those . BMW SG forum is also slowly moving into that category. Thus far, VAGSG forum is the most active IMO.

Perhaps a 2017/18 model. But there aren’t many for sale. My top concern is maintenance costs. I accept that it will be more expensive than any Japanese or Korean make, however I consistently hear that good Volvo workshops are scarce and parts are much more expensive than other conti brands. There might even be problems sourcing for them down the road given they are not very common and are old models. Hence I thought of getting some feedback from owners who’ve owned the car for a while now. I agree the console is very dated, but somehow personally I do have a soft spot for this hatch. Volvobrick Supersonic August 24, 2020 Share August 24, 2020 My friend has the V40 D2. haven't heard any complaints. He is definitely much happier regarding reliability compared to BOW and Merc. Volvo parts are very easy to source, even Taobao also can get.

Expand V40 T4 is a great car to drive due to its power and V40 esp cc model, nice shape and super easy to park V40 cost is not too bad and as it has been around for several years, many shops should be able to service U can get it cheap in the resale market, need to be patient ↡ Advertisement
