Got my V40 D2 for more than a week now, thinking of installing a drive cam (preferably front & rear). Any recommendations? Heard the Korean brands are pretty good....thanks in advanced! [:)]

 

I've installed itronics for both front and rear. Just have to get used to the camera just below your city safety box. Had them for over 1.5 years. No issue.

ITB100HD in the front. ITB100HD SPW for the rear. Both cameras tap the battery direct. If you leave your cams on 24/7, then add the power saver / magic. I did this and so far I have no issues (read: battery is ok, wowo hasn't made noise at me).

 

Went through the itronics AD. Can't remember the price. You can also buy it through parallel sources and any competent audio shop can set it up for you.

How is your wowo treating you? If I recall correctly, you have the S60 D2? Out of curiosity, what are your service intervals? 15K?

Enjoying the ride! Getting use to the start stop feature. But my wife is still not quite yet so she switches if off sometimes when she drives. Yes, service intervals is 15K

Look at the brigth side, we are paying less for fuel, thus make up as well.

 

Anyway, there are S60 around with recorded 17.5km/ltr; thus agree that we may not be driving it correctly, well at least for me.

maybe really possible to get 1000+ km but must drive till empty tank..better not.

 

update us on ur Esso tank :D

Driving s60. Pump attd spilled a bit once but it was negligence. Consider trying another stn?

did you make sure he is inserting the diesel nozzle and not the petrol nozzle? Some attendent are blur and they don't know passenger's car comes with diesel version now...

Why don't you go and check if the nozzle fits or not for yourself?

 

Then you will know if the attendant is at fault or not.

Many driver nowadays don't even know how to pump petrol.

 

I always self pump my petrol.

Just got the V40 D2 last week. Feel like changing the front ORange fog light to a LED white light. Anyone has good suggestion to share?

 

Aftermarket LED bulbs will likely have a diffused pattern, and will shine right into the eyes of on-coming drivers. Please check the light pattern first, and do not blind and irritate other drivers, like many beng drivers on the road suka suka change to all sort of bulbs.

Yah. V40 is a beautiful hatch back. Hope the owner don't convert it into a Beng Impreza hatch back.

On the contrary, LED lights shines straight. It's the halogen and HID that shines in a diffused manner.

Do try to match yr headlights and foglights color to look better .
