Hi Bro Karu, I'm using Groovy shades on my Civic now which is similar product.

 

I'm intending to get the shades again when my Xtrail comes.

 

Laser is using magnets, groovy using clips to secure the shade. I'm thinking whether the magnets can last (retain magnetic strength) in the long run.

 

Of cos on the flip side, magnet shades are easier to take up and down compared to clips.

 

I saw Taobao having similar shades also at ard $150 sgd. Not sure about the quality though.

 

How's the installation? Clips are stick on? Do u have quote?Don't think magnet will lose strength unless u hit them or drop off.

Anybody using laser shades? Thinking of getting one set. Will be useful especially for those with black interior like mine. The solar film dun seem to help very much when you park in the open.

Heat in SG really super hot. I think no solar film can do a better job. Hope more will share their experience for a solution like shades and etc. Thanks.

It happened once for me when I was using usb cable to connect to my iphone to play music then I plug out n re plug and everything was ok, as for me best fc was 12.6km/l average its at 11.2

On usb cable. Can the usb cable be connected to samsung or androids phone? I tried but my hu unable to detect the device.

To me, I think shade that can fix nicely to the window shape more pleasant and neater looking

Android phone im unsure, I'll try it later tomorrow morning, as for now I'm using Apple iphone can play via Apple Music,

 

Bluetooth would be a fantastic way to play music for both android and iOS

Honestly using a curtain isn't good for checking your blind spot

What Colours you guys choose for your x trail?

 

I kinda leaning towards the red colour while my Wife prefer the blueish grey. Lol

I took white but now regretted... hard to maintain...

Another question... Anyone used extra tinted solar film for the moon roof? Think it'll get rid of more heat by minimizing the 'greenhouse effect'. How much juz to do the moon roof?

Extra tinted, doesn't mean extra heat rejection.

Bro RK2010, did u do ceramic coating? Some say white easier to maintain after you do that.

 

I'm going for grey. Safe, boring choice.

Yup I meant heat rejection. Think free solar film provided by tc did not include the moon roof, also my bad to miss that out before I committed . Any of u guys got them to apply film on the moon roof?

I took white but now regretted... hard to maintain...

White xt sure looks better... But maintenance is difficult w the visible water marks. Easiest would be silver or grey. My blue grey also dirties quite easily.

I took the grayish blue, it's a fantastic Color to see on the road, then again it's bias for me since my Favourite Color its blue hehe

Oic. I told my SE to include Roof solar film already.

Just that I'm not sure about the quality of it

The activation of the rear wheels to make it AWD only kicks in when it senses that the front wheels are losing traction right?

 

So meaning to say, in SG, if not driven hard, its effectively 95% FWD?
