Sleeper April 6, 2015 Share April 6, 2015 May i know how much they take in ur nissan? No a lot. They took my old car at 8k. Partly because mine is a manual gear. My old car have very high mileage closing to 300k. But I take care of my car pretty well, for this 9 years, it only failed me 3 times. All major Parts are replace. I just need a bigger car to ferry family around. But when driving this Outlander, do not expect the FC to be very good like the 1.6l car. As the car is really heavy, review from other country still complaining the 2.4l engine still not powerful enough to pull it. Have to say the feel of driving this car is good, other than the FC. Bwilly 1st Gear April 6, 2015 Share April 6, 2015 For person who is getting 11.5km/L on my Wish, that is a increase of 22% fuel consumption. Based on my average weekly mileage, which is 60km per day x 7 days = 420km. After some calculation per week I am paying extra $17 on fuel, extra $68 in a month. $17 divide by 7 days, which is like less than $2.50 a day to own a SUV/MPV. I find it still reasonable cost (petrol) for such a heavy car with good road presence.

For me cos i mainly switch to 4WD-ECO, and seem like i m getting around 9-10km+/liter now. This week i am sending in my car for the first 1000km servicing. hopefully can get better mileage next week. Just curious.. anyone read the owner manual? trying to understand page 5-15 it says to get better FC, we should try to maintain momentary fuel consumption above the average fuel consumption. I could be asking a silly question but better means bar should be shorter or longer? I assume base on the pic is the shorter the bar the better right? cos on one end is 0L and the other is 20L Anyway, anyone paying attention to this mode? Also, anyone monitoring what is optimal rpm for better FC?

I assume base on the pic is the shorter the bar the better right? cos on one end is 0L and the other is 20L Depending on your display mode (L/100 KM, KM/L). If L/100KM the shorter the better. If KM/L the longer the better.

Aros_Mechanic 1st Gear May 10, 2015 Share May 10, 2015 Hi, I have been driving my Outlander for close to 2 months now. Tried all three 4WD modes. Still think Econ mode is the best, not only it provides the best FC, I felt that it is easier to pick up. Lock mode seems to be 'more sticky' to the road, and Auto mode is the worse in FC. Let me know if you agree with me. With my last 3 tanks on Eco mode, I managed to get a FC close to 10 km/L. Have anyone tried driving without the spare tyre? I figured that I won't change tyre on Singapore roads, so thinking of taking them out to cut some weight. Spare your views pls. Aros

Yes, that's the facelift model with the new grille, it's launched in Singapore already. Yes, you can choose between 2WD and 4WD to suit your needs. I wonder why their CVT transmission and engine is so rough even compared to my 8 year old toyota. seriously the car is cheap , and also cheap on its design and engineering. not a value for money. plus low OMV

Engine technology same old same old, but you know it's reliable. They shed some weight and improved on FC. For a 7seater SUV, it is one of the cheapest in the market although they are still playing catch up in the engine department and interior. Still some way to go but good effort nevertheless. Jaskin 2nd Gear August 3, 2015 Share August 3, 2015 cheapest its still Xtrail for a 7 seater Crossover. Terrible 3rd row though. Outlander's third row is better, slightly. But the sunroof is tinny so being in the 3rd row feels horrid too. ↡ Advertisement
