I did test drive but not the one with the gps installed.

The GPS is a $1.5k option then, not sure if they can give it to you?

Otherwise no point to ask, unless you don't mind paying for that price?

Personally I find it awesome, since it intergrated properly with my steering control, I dont need my third party GPS, and bluetooth to work with iphone, USB device etc.

Hi,

I have using 95 since I got I car back in Nov.

Have tried a few tank of 98, I felt not much difference....

I wonder how many outlander owners do we have here...

Cheers

I got around 8.9km/L based on a recent full tank drive.

Using 95 petrol now, can still use 92 as indicated on the manual, see how first.

Anyone change their Rims to 19"?

Thinking of changing, feel that with 19" the car looks better.

Anyone opinion?

Hi Bwilly,

I thought prefer using 98 for our outlander because I got ask the SE, he advised using 98. So I am not sure the different using between 98 n 95 or 92.

Even my old Wish the SE told me to use at least 95. I used 92 all the time for 7years. The car never break down before, and I did once flushing then. FC was 12km/L. Manual for Wish indicates 89.

For Outlander, SE does mentioned 98 is good, but 95 can too, since it is not turbo.

SE is kiasu, they might as well tell you to do Vpower to play very safe.

Read your manual even 92 is safe enough to use for Outlander.

Since we pay so much more (almost double of my Wish) I decide personally to try 95.

Now checking on the various milage I can get from the various pump.

Did SPC, now checking Caltex, next may go back to Esso.

All trying their 95 grade.

Welcome to the family! I can see we all have good feedback on this car.

So its not bull, and I am not a SE. :)

Pls PM me personally, I am thinking of consolidating a list and create a FB group/page for all the outlander Bros. Share/trade stuffs on this wonderful car.

I dont thiink I have front sensor. Not too sure, haha..

Cause we can see if we are going to hit something. Not useful since when we do front usually is at higheer speed. The sensor will be distraction, and sound too late to be of any use.

What I can suggest if you are worry when parking, on the lights. Gauge how near and focus/intense

the headlight shines on the car/wall in front, and judge how much more you can move.

This helps when you move up/down spiral carpark that makes you want to faint after more than 30secs inside.

I think you have reserve sensor and cam right? Should be fine.

I do not have much confidence parking on parallel as much as I have on my Wish.

I used to able to park on slope, parallel at Scotts Road (old office), on a manual car, pull hand brake, all sort of pattern on a busy road. Either left or right side of the road. That is my old Nissan Sunny B13.

After awhile changing to Wish, I have no problem too, even with the sensors and rear camera for Wish.

But there is no brake assist, (hand brake was better than but I dont have third leg for brake, you should know when parking parallel on a steep slope) so it was abit challenge, and also moving off.

Now trying to park more parallel, either the size (car) too big, I dont parallel park really nice with thiis car.

But dont find need to get a front sensor. The wheels and height is high, so usually I can park all the way in, without worry the body kit or whatever scrap the curb.

I am not too sure. You may need to lower the profile for the 55 to 45.

Comfort level may compromise alot. Suggest you let the tyre run its life.

The FC is now already 9km/L or so, for a light foot me.

If you getting 7-8km/L, 19 may get you a measy 6km/L.. :(

Thanks Bwilly.

My previous car is Honda Odyssey, first few years I used 98 and after

That I used 95, no problem at all. And I find that the FC better than 98.

Is it true that using lower grade petrol the FC is better?

Will change to 95 for my Outlander, see the FC is it better than 98.

Currently my FC is between 6-7.5 when drive normal. Of course expressway the FC is better around 9-12 depend traffic conditions and the way u drive the car.

I think 95 is fine, maybe try 6months (every) grade 98 or vpower to clean the system.

Otherwise do a engine flush after 3years.

Lower grade may not give you better FC.

Different brand may, since they put different cleaning agent inside.

So I am trying.
