Might be the "lite" version and maybe OPC?

It is lite version, without GPS, rear aircon and audi drive select. For the rest of equipment are same as normal version.

$159k is reasonable price and new model only coming maybe late 2015 or 2016. If new car price selling at high side, old car also can get better trade in price.

I bought mine at Dec 2013 and trade in my 3.5 yrs old Toyota Altis at my original purchase price. Therefore, if you ride is less than 4 yrs can consider change now. If more than 5 yrs may consider to wait COE drop further....

Bro the epb rolls backwards part is not caused by epb. It's due to transmission - if it's dual clutch or multitronic (audi's cvt), the clutch is not engaged momentarily when u release the epb and the gearbox is changing to gear 1,and thus there's some rolling backwards motion. There's Hill hold assist to help. Not as straightforward as conventional auto, I know...

Thanks for the explanation for the benefit of all but I'm talking about the car rolling forwards when it's pointed downhill. [laugh]

This happens when the car is being parked right after the EPB is engaged. Not just moving off. Maybe it only happened to a few cars. Not all.

If no hurry for a new car, why not wait for the new W205 C-class by Q3 '2014, may cost slightly more, but isn't it more atas to drive a brand new 3-pointed star model. Someone I knew bought a 1yr old A4 2L Quattro and sold it away in 6mths, though I never heard any complain from him on the A4

New c class! Like!

I think for some (if not many) ppl one of the problem would be the loan curbs. If I am not wrong the dp will be 60%? So we are looking at $95k upfront cash [knife]

The Audi A4 list price is 200k, so you can loan upto 100k (50%), the balance (around 60k) will be paid by cash & balance value of trade in car.

Only problem is loan upto 5 yrs....

Like my case, i traded my 3.5yrs old car (loan 90% for 8 yrs) at my original purchase price and get back cash around 30k++, so only top up another 30k cash for my new A4.

159k for a "premium" brand and you don't even get a basic GPS and rear aircon as a default...

Based on the timeline for newly designed Conti cars, I think the new Audi A4 will be launching for 2015 or 2016 which may be the reason why they are slashing the pricing.

Another reason is that BMW and Merc are coming out with plenty of models which Audi need to fight them back. Their strategy therefore is based on pricing.

No lah, I don't play property, totally don't know anything abt that.

I thought it was BB 50% - 50% and atas is 60%dp, 40% loan.

Thanks!

If dp is an issue, it's better to look at more affordable model then. Don't forget to factor in maintenance and operational cost. It should not become a burden later on. Edited by Fastnfaster

I think for running cost still ok as you are earning salary along the way. But dp is one time upfront.
