Hahaha... No offence taken buuddy. Anyways yeah all waiting times the same. My guess most dealerships will deliver car in Dec if buyer signs now. So no difference in waiting times. Doesn't matter what colour.

I'm another lurker at this Vezel thread. Been following it for months but haven't decided if I should jump into this ship with everyone else because my trusty Honda Fit of many good years is still well, good. But the temptation of seeing Vezels and Vezels on the road is killing me and I'm about to surrender my lust and join all Vezel owners here. :wub::wub:

 

MAIN POINT - I have been looking around for Vezel accessories just to see what I could possible dabble with if I do decide to take the plunge.. There are tons of accessories on taobao, Aliexpress and so on.. I've had my fair share of bad (and good) experiences with ordering items from online sites. Besides the waiting time, the fact that you will not know what to expect (item condition, fitment etc), finding a good installer (and reasonable labour fees), the unknown scares me.

 

We're killing the businesses of car accessories shop by ordering online so they're not gonna let us off easily with their installation charges.

 

I have ordered scuff plates, bodykit and car mat for my Fit from Taobao before because it was relatively cheap but end up disappointed thanks to the (inadequate) quality and fitment. Could be just my bad luck but since then I have resisted the temptation to order anything from Taobao, Ebay and the likes. I do scroll through them and poison myself but what I do do, is that I screenshot the interested items and then proceed to my preferred accessory shop in SG to check if they do carry the items. If they do not, I should be able to order through them and have them ship it for me.

 

You will probably end up paying a tad more than what you will have to pay if you order thru taobao but for that small amount of extra money paid, what I get back in return is a peace of mind. Any defects or what will be absorbed by the shop.

 

There are a few good accessory shops out there...

 

To name one it will be Premier Auto at WCEGA Plaza Level 3.

The lady boss (Yvonne) and the boss Allan they're nice people to talk to. I've done my full car audio, solar film, with them about two years ago, and last year front bumper conversion $180 I cannot remember if it was inclusive of installation (08 model to 12 facelift) and my Dad got his Harrier installed with the roof rack recently which cost about $200+ odd.. As I have been there twice for the past 2 months I have seen Vezels there almost daily. From my understanding they are one of the installer for PI carrying Vezels hence they bring in parts and accessories for the latter.. Either that or they can do a pre-order for you (happened to me before..)

 

They may not be the cheapest out there but I have no qualms in going back to them again and again because of their workmanship and the very nice bosses. Just a heads up, the lady boss may be a little intimidating (or grumpy) at first impression but she is definitely nice haha.

 

This is just based on my own experience and I am in no way related to the shop. Many bros and sis here have ordered from online sites and it worked for them but I think I'm the traditional kinda guy who cannot embrace technology and move with the times (fully) so I'm still sticking to brick and mortar shops.

I am sorry i think you misses the poster point. The way I see it.

 

the main thing is "I got my Vezel delivered to me after 22 days which the contract wrote 1 month guaranteed COE, no top up or rebate."

 

the car cam was an additional gift.

 

Its is not 2-3K extra for the cam.

 

you try getting cheapest vezel in 22 days? see can get or not?

My lesson: I trade in my 1 year + jazz for 15K and the dealer even so thick faced to ask me top up my roadtax, which is due more than one month later

 

then I saw their are advertising the car for 26K+ on Sgcarmart...So you know how much profit they are getting

who in their right mind would buy a Honda Jazz at that depreciation?

A question that I have if any experts can answer, if I opt for guaranteed COE, no topups in the SA.

 

What will happen in case the dealer fails to bid for my COE within the stipulated delivery date of my car and ends up in a non-delivery?

 

Is the dealer liable for any compensation due to me since it is clearly stated it is "guaranteed"?

Read carefully and make sure you understand it before signing.

 

Legally Yes, but you would have to sue them in court which most buyers find it a hassle.

Any bros bought from Kah Motor? Just saw a black Honda HRV on the roads. Why not much people bought from Kah Motor?

 

 

Honda HRV from Kah motor is lower in specifications than the Honda Vezel.

 

1) 120 BHP

2) SOHC

3) No Xenon headlights

Deed has been done. Signed with Auto Selection. Delivery in Dec/Jan. Temporary car will be given in case any delay. Overall satisfied with my experience.

 

Salesperson was transparent and clear. Before anything, i told them honesty is most important. I have done my homework, so best to be transparent so dat I won't lose trust in them.

 

No extra freebies besides those alrdy in their list packaged with the car.

 

U guys make it sound as though 90% of all dealers are out to rip us apart. :(

 

 

How come your delivery date is in Dec/Jan?

That's way too long for a normal Japanese car

 

PI will register your car using Open Cat COE.

 

Don't worry for them, most of them have a few Open Cat COE on hand....if not, they will buy one from open market for you.

 

 

 

Chances for a PI to use a Open Cat to register a Cat A car is almost unheard off because the price difference would be great and they would rather bid for you.

You have a point on selling your own car in sgcarmart to get better prices.

 

That said, some dealers esp ADs will give you an overtrade for your ride and even though they quote you lower, the overtrade more than makes up for the lower price quoted. You will not be able get this difference if you got no car to trade in eg Your car worth $30k, they give you a $5k overtrade but value your car only at $28k so take in your car at $33k so you still better off by $3k.

 

However, this may not be applicable for PIs

Bro, good time to intercept ur post n say hello the same time. U r rite about ad giving generaly better trade in price. Id like to add my own exp. I previously sold my own ride n actually gained at least 10k compared to dealer n ad offer. The con was about timing between disposing of old ride n taking ownership of next ride. I was few weeks wihout a ride. This u cant control. Thus, a number of car owners preferred to have a seamless transition where they just drive in old ride to collect new one.

For the price u pay.. no choice gotta wait lo... means if i start searching for PIs next mth.... must wait till Jan liao.. haha

 

Its such a popular car... surprised alot of PIs are not plunging in with certain risk to order more in bulk...

I have actually asked ard at quite a few dealers. Funny it seems black is the least popular color. So at certain dealerships black color u might still get in Nov. But all others definitely Dec or later.

 

And yup for the price,i paid it makes sense that I have to wait longer. What i realized these dealers take turns offering good deals. Might be after a while if sales are slow, they offer a great promo to clear the incoming stocks.

 

If u guys look at sgcarmart, this time ard Car House seems to be having an unbelieabky good offer. Dont know if there's a catch.

Well, the listed price may not equal to actual selling price always. They sold the car in three days. Fast money for them

Price cheap maybe something is missing or not given....leather seat, solar film, free servicing etc etc.

Actually compared to most AD's thats good... For instance Subaru at the moment rebate level is $41k....
