107.5k is unbelievably low for Vezel S.

Care to share which dealer you got from ?

Hi guys,

 

I am on the verge of signing up for a new Vezel. I have narrowed down my choices to JDM and Auto Selection. The reason is purely based on prices. They are both selling at $104,8xx guaranteed COE without topups.

 

I have a better feel at Auto Selection. The place seems nice and professional. Freebies are printed out so there are no inconsistencies. Not sure though if they are willing to give out more if requested. And it seems that their business is quite good. Always have to wait my turn to get tended to both times i am there. The only negative is that their COE rebate is at $48k whereas JDM is at $50.8k.

 

However, I am leaning towards JDM for the higher rebate value since we are in a falling COE environment right now. Sales lady also said she can give me more extras once i am very sure about signing. I have been reading up on FB and here and found quite a fair bit of warnings abt JDM. I read abt one FB user's bad experience but are all experiences with them the same?

 

Anyone has any thoughts or experiences pls share to enlighten me b4 its too late... After which my wife will kill me if anything goes wrong. LoL.

Looking thru sgcarmart, only Jiayi advertised at this price. 2 bid guaranteed COE but I believe definitely there should be top ups i assume? Maybe their Cat A COE level is very low?

I also intend to get my Vezel soon. But from what I research so far low COE rebate is a big no no as the PI will drag your COE bidding in order to maximise their profits. They probably will wait until the COE drop until closest to the rebate value then they bid for you?

Yes. That is probably gonna be the case. To maximise profits or to be sure they have a vehicle for the COE before bidding. I was told that when the bidding will be done is not fixed. They will most likely only start bidding once they are sure ur car is otw or alrdy arrived in SG especially jow when COE is on the downtrend. This is not an issue for me as long as the car is delivered on time.

 

To me buying a car from a PI is just buying which package suits urself the most. This encompasses ur own risk appetite. Guaranteed or non guaranteed. Rebate levels. Top up levels. Etc etc. For myself personally, i do not want to take the risk of topping up more after planning my finances for a certain price. So i pass on the risk to the dealer and sleep better at night.

My hunch is dat trade in car is taken at a very low price(at least 5k less than other dealers) so can sell Vezel S at a low price as well. No such thing as a free lunch. 107.5k for a Vezel S is definitely an impossible price.

I am sorry i think you misses the poster point. The way I see it.

 

the main thing is "I got my Vezel delivered to me after 22 days which the contract wrote 1 month guaranteed COE, no top up or rebate."

 

the car cam was an additional gift.

 

Its is not 2-3K extra for the cam.

 

you try getting cheapest vezel in 22 days? see can get or not?

Nobody care to comment? Another point to note is that ppl keep saying JDM's price is too good. Which in my post above i already rebutted koz Auto Selection is selling at the same price. Hope some of the fellow forummers can come fw to share their experiences with either dealers to save my ass from a mistake. Thanks in advance. :)

There seems to be some dispute with some buyers.

 

Not all treated equally. Got one buyer receive his car in dirty condition, very low on petrol and without HU. In other words car not ready for handover. Quite a few got other surprises....delays...etc

to all brothers , i traded in my audi a4 at a below market value of 90k hence why my vezel s is at 107.5 k and i bought from vincar and its after many many many persuasions and nego to this price selling price was 112.5k

 

also why am i restricted till i get 8 more approved post ? how do i get an approved post may anyone assist ?

The approved post also confused me initially.

It actually just referring to normal post, no one to approve. haha.

 

Anyway, once you have post count of 10 or more, the restriction is lifted.

I paid 2 - 3k more for 1 month delivery instead having to wait for 3 months. The vid cam is a freebie for me to seal off the deal.

Mate, join the FB vezel forum and you will understand why nobody commenting on JDM and Auto. Seems like some of our fellow members over there having problems with delivery.
