Mugatu 1st Gear June 19, 2015 Share June 19, 2015 Just went to Turf City today to check out the Vezel. Lowest I got was $109888 for the X model from JDM. Autolink quoted me $139888 for the hybrid. The rest of the prices quoted are abt 113888 to 115888. Like Bro Vlanze, I am driving a FD2A and guess I will just stick to auto for the rest of my driving years. Young sales guy at Autolink firmly assured both my friend and I that the new batch of hybrid will be gearbox problem free. 5 years warranty on gearbox and battery will be honoured by the appointed workshop (which I forgotten the name). This point seriously makes me worry...A lot! So I guess I will just be sticking to the X model for now. ↡ Advertisement

Mugatu 1st Gear June 20, 2015 Share June 20, 2015 was looking for exhaust LTA approved. any suggestions??? So far I only saw HKS exhaust offered by Garage R. But why bother to change exhaust? Loud exhaust note (Attracts TPs and stares from red eye monsters) and hardly any increase of performance.
Wtneo 1st Gear June 20, 2015 Share June 20, 2015 a quick update to my experience in getting a new vezel... Delivery was delayed due to LTA, will only be ready the next working day which is the coming Monday. But my SE was willing to help me send my car down to Rendall's Groomers Lab for a full detail and paint protection! The delay was not within the PI's control (Vincar) but it was a nice gesture that my SE was willing to do this for me. I popped over Groomers Lab and met Rendall, he went through the new car with a toothpick and helped me checked the car thoroughly! ...with the conversation we had, I realised that not all new Vezels are delivered equal. How and where the car was stored in the warehouse, which leather company they use for the seats as well as how they prep the car for you - these will make a difference to the condition of the car. I can say the level of detail he goes through is what I would pay for a pre-purchase inspection for delivery defects, and I am getting it free with the package I took up with him (good pricing for vezel forum members also!!!). He spent the whole day doing up my car interior and exterior (for a full 6+ hours) and he most definitely did a good job. I'm not a car detailing fanatic but the level of glossiness and reflectivity is just phenomenal! Not to mention how hydrophobic the coating is - you can go to his workshop to see for yourself. This is when he just finish washing and claying... the coating process... Finaly done!!!

Hwang79 5th Gear June 20, 2015 Share June 20, 2015 Need some advice. Any guys here with Vezels without the solar film? I wonder if we really need to have the solar film as the front, rear and windows are already tinted with UV thingy? The small difference from having solar film might not justify the overall cost. UV and IR rejection are 2 different issues. UV is the harm the ultraviolet rays bring but IR rejection is about the heat, I think many cars owner in tropical climate are opting more for IR rejection. I wonder how much difference the cost to manufacturer to use those heat insulating glass. My A3 came with this type of glass and I didn't add on solar film. It is pretty good as I don't really feel the heat on skin when driving under sun. I think all manufacturers should incorporate this glass (for cars sold in tropical areas) since it eliminates all the issues of sticking on solar film. That is unacceptable. May I know if there is any indicated date on your sales agreement? My side is already preparing delivery for 1 client who booked in May. need to know the story behind to better understand the situation. which branch, which salesperson handled your purchase, what colour and what is in the agreement? However, cheaper solution for us common folks is fixed up aftermarket solar film with >70% IR rejection. At least that helps a bit. Of course, I myself will love to have such technology incorporated into more cost economical rides like Japanese/Korean cars as well:) ↡ Advertisement
