I am shocked buyers are still considering Vezel with a questionable warranty only available from PIs when there are better value for money options out there with 5 yr AD warranty which are bigger than the Vezel. Must be the die hard blinded Honda badge lovers. Sorry for my abruptness and frankness. I AM INDEED SHOCKED.

 

once again, i got to intercept while i am trying to finish scanning through this popular thread and car, hopefully i can catch up to the latest page soon.

 

So, what are the other better value for money options out there?

All i have read about your post so about you being 'shocked'.

Bro, you need to go along with your priorities.

 

 

The 3 cars were in our consideration as well but through elimination we ended up with Vezel.

 

Reason for eliminating Altis - Not much of a headroom for rear passengers and as my wife is seated at the back with the kids, limited headroom sure eliminate.

 

Reason for eliminating Wish- Our family profile is 5 pax but we figured out a big enough 5 seaters can still sit 6 (4 at the back) and there is no need to go with a MPV (since most of the time only 1 person is driving to work) which means higher running cost ( higher road tax, FC )

 

There is no right or wrong here. You need to know what are high on your priority list.

IMO, there maybe implication to overload vehicle with passengers.

 

In the original vehicle registration, it does state the number of passengers permitted, this should also be translated for Insurance.

 

Thus, in the event of an accident, on the assumption that is no bodily harm, thus no need for insurance claims, one may be able to get away with such an overload.

 

However, should there be medical claims involved, I bet there would be implications that may result in exclusions of liability by insurer.

You are correct. I think i saw from somewhere that Vezel is only a 4-seater car. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Having 3 person at the second row will be max IMO. anything more than that you will get a ticket from TP if it is not your day.

Unfortunately, the price difference from the Vezel made sure that I can't be a Harrier owner.

harrier 20k above my hybrid price wor, too chor for me. And doesn't drive as well as sports hybrid, i rate high for performance of car. Nevertheless harrier is also a great JDM car!

However, being a practical person, I find it difficult to justify the 35-40% difference over Vezel (at least at this point in time) Maybe when I next change my car in 10 years, and if I decide that YOLO and a bigger car would make me die a happier man, I might just buy a Harrier. From a daily usage point of view, Vezel should have quite a decent running cost, and its smaller profile is justified by the smaller impact on your wallet too.

 

QQ looks nice to me too, it has quite a continental feel to it, afterall designed in the UK, and is also quite common now on our roads. Found the higher price tag harder to justify, though its road tax and insurance should be lower since it's a 1.2l TC, and some folks still trust ADs more.

 

I guess the most important thing is to work out what budget is comfortable for you, if budget is no problem, and if you're more inclined to go with your heart, I say just do it! haha

haiz.. the 35 to 40% difference really make me think twice..actually if the running cost is the same as vezel maybe i wont headache so much.. the running cost also will increase with harrier which make me sianz..

Hi Rational bro, not yet... still holding on... that's the advantage of being old, we old guys have all the patience in the world... My current ride only expires next year, still hoping current COE will drop further so i'll have more spare budget to "zing"... thinking paint protection (if can't get for free) and rim upsize...
