Bro, no problem. No paisei..😉

I am a small build lady that did not add on much load on right foot and load. Most of time, I am driving alone in car besides every morning drop off two kids at school.

Yet check tyre pressure and this is first run in.

Hope can hv better fc later..

Besides, can I check if anyone change transmission gear box during first 1k km servicing?

Also, is Vezel having timing belt or chain? TIA.

My 1st Tank Petrol only serve 12.1-km/L (actual calculated on Millage vs refill).. [knife]

Sigh.. [bigcry]

I don believe so give my ride another chance on the 2nd Tank. Currently in progress.. [:(]

You wanna change the whole gear box? Or the cvt oil? If cvt oil do it every 20k.

Opps...pai sei.. missed out the word oil. I meant gear box oil.. tot might need to change after 1st run in.

So, for first servicing only change engine oil and filter? Full synthetic or semi synthetic engine oil ?? Sorry I a bit blur

Are you doing a lot of high rev move off from traffic lights? Sudden accelerate and slow down? Travel speed greater then 80 most of the time?

My ride is 70% city, 30% expressway and constantly hit 15km/l, even now peak period.

Since this is my 1st Tank, meaning it still yet to run in, so I very kia-xi.. So far my rev never cross 2.7k. Speed never exceed 90kph. (my usual was 100~120). But my ride is 92% city, 8%HW.. [:(]

Short term Hybrid Vezel update:

First tank of petrol fetched me 680.2 km and I topped up 37.3L. Which works out to be around 18.2 km/l. The onboard computer reading was pinpoint accurate in the calculation of the FC. Was driving really like a pussy on Eco mode and entering EV mode whenever I could, but once the petrol engine kicked in, the FC drops quite drastically. Was going about 50/50 highway/city.

Reasons for the not fantastic economy figures are probably;

1) High drag caused by heavy 17" stock rims and grippy, thus draggy, 215/55/17 sport OEM tyres. For comparison, Toyota Prius comes with slippery and thin tyres, probably 15" and very low rolling resistance.

2) General heft of the Vezel hybrid chassis @ 1.3 tons.

3) Less slippery design of the tall body, causing greater aerodynamic drag.

Adjusted my tyre pressures to slightly above stock pressure, 235 KPa, and forgone the Eco mode as it was simply miserable. Went on more highways at a 90 km/h average cruising speed diligently and this is what I achieved:

attachicon.gifIMAG1186.jpg

Yeah, 20.4 km/l currently on this tank. This is done 70/30 Highway/City and off Eco mode, so I was driving normally, and coasting as much as possible on expressways. Honestly, achieving this FC is decent, considering the Vezel platform wasn't designed with "Hybrid DNA" from the ground up, unlike the Prius family.

Interestingly, the electric motor assist feature during cruising was my favourite feature. Usually on constant throttle up a slight expressway slope, normal auto-boxes will downshift once they detect the engine load exceeds a certain value, leading to increased instant fuel consumption.

However with the Hybrid, in the same situation, the electric motor comes to life and assists the vehicle up the slope. This assist does not necessitate a downshift in the gearbox, as there is an additional 160Nm supplied by the electric motor. The car simply cruises up the slope with magic power assist. Needless to say, the instant fuel consumption remained constant throughout. I guess this contributed to the rather excellent overall fuel consumption.

You've got Chinese characters on the average fuel consumption in the instrument panel!

This is my first run in, keep speed between 60-90km/h. Many traffic lights stop.No sudden accelarate or stop. Everday travel abt 100km.Any option to improve FC is a saving

just drive as per what you have being driving in the past. the ECU is learning your driving pattern.

no point driving differently and confuse the ECU later. [:)]

Well, at least you got one! [sweatdrop]

I have received pm from another PI. Besides, I think you should also have received recommendations from some helpful brothers here...

Hi bro, rest assure that i am not a PI. I have tried the PM method and phone call method. Not very effective bro. i guess that the SE wants to see customer in person to register interest. If PM, wait competitor know pricing and package, pecah rice bowl.

Agreed! but there are so many PIs around, can't afford to visit them all. I am just trying to see which PI is more keen to do business with me.

Finished first half tank of my Shell 95 petrol. Only acheived 13.7km/l and 291.2km with 50% highway and 50% city drive. Choose to off the Auto Engine off function as stopped too often at traffic light.

Hi,

Can explain what is the upper portion....0 - 25km/l - 50 for ( as seen in attach photo)?

Thanks. Just curious.

Normally 1k service only change engine oil and oil filter, no gear oil require to change. Vezel is confirm with timing chain.

Maybe on the bright side is that vezel got better fc than your previous ride. Is it? 😄

Today I went to Vertex Singapore in Ubi to meet up a friend for lunch. Saw a car showroom (AP) with Honda Vezel (Black) on display, two white & 1 maroon wriiten 'SOLD' on their windscreen. Asked the salesperson, she told me there are still available stock for white & black. So this is my first time molesting the car and had a feel of the passenger/driver seat, spacious boot. I really love it....
