Bro, I do not have experience with stop start and CTBA.

I do drive auto vehicle and never experience car roll back in D mode (due to the tranny is always in gear and not free or neutral)

This is not the case with Vezel by your description. Is this due to the stop start feature. When it stop it goes to Neutral hence may roll back on uneven ground?.

Please elaborate more..

Thanks for your help.

Bro, the roll back was due to ctba, not engine start stop. The slope was steep n the roll back was momentary.

Vezel has a hill assist or something feature.

On a slope, It does not roll backwards even after u relased the brake.

bro its called the brake hold the button after the "P" button [sunny]

I think this is cool, very flexible and shows some thought went into the design.

now is trying to find the metal bar to fix

Thanks for the info. I guess, I will have to experience it myself when I get my ride (hopefully).

For those bros here still waiting for your Vezel, I hope that this piece of information can eased the burden while you still in doubt about your PI answer.

This afternoon I went down to my PI (own by my personal friend) to chit chat with his staff (anyway I have already collected my car few weeks ago). I asked him that what is the typical waiting time for Japanese car, he mentioned that it take about 4 months if you booked the car for a fresh shipment. He also mentioned that some of the shipment can be delay up to a month (based on his past experience). One of his customer is waited 9 months for his car that came from Europe.

Thanks for the info. I guess there are a few factors that are beyond the control of PI. But then again they should not promise guaranteed if stock is not in our shores. just my 2cents on this.

ps I like to praise you but unfortunately not enough points to praise another 19 more before I can praise you again. sorry.

Hi . Thanks for the info.

Did Vitas Emissions Test yesterday. Current batch Vezels confirmed to still have CEVS Rebate at $10K. For now.... CEVS Rebate slated to end in June 2015 though as mentioned by LTA.

thanks mistercars.

for the same selling price, I prefer CEV to be none or $5K at most.

You might want to try the internet, ebay, taobao, or one of the other internet online stores. They might already have it.

Alternatively, go to a workshop and ask them to custom one for you, shouldn't be too difficult with an alu plate, some screws and handiwork. ;)

Just now I went down to Tuff City and looked around: there were plenty of Vezels there. I really liked the car for its design and layout. In fact, my bro and I sat in both the Vezel and the Harrier, and I actually preferred the Vezel: it was quieter, surprisingly big boot and its more economical overall.

Hi mistercars,

Can I check with you?

Once, importer declared the OMV and Paid All the relevant charges and taxes, car should leave port storage right?

Car will be at your own shop or holding storage, while waiting for VITAS before Inspection at approves centers such as VICOM etc?

Appreciate your help greatly.

Thanks

I have test drive the Vezel S model, the car seems dragging during initial gear and the engineer sound become louder when I try to accerate the speed. Not sure if this normal behavior since Vezel come only with 1.5l engine.

Nowadays, OMV is decided by Customs after considering all factors and average of the same car model. Once GST and relevant taxes are paid, we will put at our showroom, workshop or storage as you've mentioned,

Then the wait for Vitas and Vicom inspections begin.

ARF is paid only during registration of vehicle.

thanks mistercars.

Price will adjust accordingly in tandem with the rebate value.

Market is same for all including properties. Willing buyer, willing seller. If you happen to buy at a much higher price as compared with market prices, it was your decision to purchase, it's also buyer's own duty to practice due diligence.

Promise car delivery, you got to check if this was stated on the contract, in black and white, or via any forms of recorded correspondence. Got to see what's the T&Cs.. If verbal promise only, I doubt can do much.

Saw a white Vezel parked at Boon Keng multi storey car park. It has the rim from the promotional brochure which I am eyeing for. Not sure whether the bro/sis of this car is reading this forum. Can anyone share whether this rim can be bought locally or have to import from Japan.
