I am interested in Vezel, lurking around this thread for some time since. Waiting for the right moment to jump in.

My only concern, apart from looking for a trusted PI, is regarding recall. What if tgere is a recall say to fix the faulty airbag or whatever, who and where should we turn to? I am sure Kah Motors will not come forth to take responsibility. What will happen, especially if the recall concerns the safety aspects? Any one kind enough to share?

KM coming forward to take responsibility? I don't think so....in fact now there is an issue with the airbags for their cars and Toyotas also. Has the AD came forward to talk about it? More like keeping quiet and waiting for something to happen then all start to jump. :a-panic:

Tot I should share my exp with PI since I already got my Baby Vezel delivered.

First of all I bought my Vezel from this PI after scrutinizing online for many days for a reliable PI. When my Civic gonna expired, I finally took up the courage to visit AML and like a Singaporean shoppers, I went to almost the showrooms on the ground floor for a see see look look jalan jalan. I had shortlisted a few PI from the online forums but nonetheless, being a singaporean, I still backside itchy and went for all showrooms.

From what I can say, all singaporeans love to buy cheap and good stuff and I was one of them! I want cheap, good and those can deliver fast. Haha. So after walking almost all shops, I must say that eventually I didn't buy it cheap. The PI I signed with, their price of Vezel was on the higher side. I was talking to this SE and I told him to give discount and more freebies else I would consider as their price is $2000-$3000 more than the rest! But all I got was a lesson given by the shop boss, he simply asked me one question and this question actually made me make up my mind.

Do you wanna just buy "cheap" car or are you here to buy car? Simple question but carries a strong message. In the end, they gave me an additional V7 iroad vid cam and I signed up. I must say thru out the whole deal was a smooth one and I got my Vezel delivered to me after 22 days which the contract wrote 1 month guaranteed COE, no top up or rebate.

Conclusion, I signed up for a car and I didn't really bother about delivery till the date of getting my car. Oh ya, anyway my fren also bought from this PI and he gotten his car in May liao, this is also a factor that made me signed with this SE. Hope all buyers can also understand this theory sent to me by this PI boss, there is no cheap and good thingy in buying car, you cant have the best of both world.

Do your research online and also see if anybody you know had their car delivered liao. Good Luck all!

Congrat on your new ride.

Paying $2k-$3K above normal price and get in return a vid cam is quite worth it.

Congrats Honker for the new car :P

No offend please, jus my 2 cent.

Priced 2-3k more and throw in iroad v7 which cost about $300 plus minus. Not forgetting no rebates... which in turns the PI will be laughing to the bank.... I think i should ask the boss "your shop is to sell or to rob" instead. And there is actually cheap(or would say reasonable) and good thing in buying car.. its just how much effort you put into before signing the SA and not from some bulls**t brainwashing PIs.

Think i know which PI.. presumely quite well known.. very straight forward.. however no rebates turns me off..thou they guarantee delivery which i am sure they will since their profit is so much higher than the rest.

But i rather be the buy "cheap" or i should say buy "reasonable" car from reasonable and reliable PIs.

Honker since you say u book recently after your friend got his car at May, i presume you make your order on somewhere May to June.

An estimation when quoted:

Price of Vezel X 113k-117k est during time of June no rebates.. June's 1st coe was 66k

1) 113k - 66k= 47k car price

2) 113k - 61k= 52k

3) 113k - 58k= 55k

4) 113k - 55k= 58k

By looking at above calculation, depend on which Coe you secured = to the car price that you are paying.

It's not about "their price is $2k to $3k more" than other PIs but its at least 5k to 10k more !

I'm just sharing my thought n experience.. some people willing to pay more maybe for peace of mind..some might just wanna save a little bit more to lessen their loan... so it all comes with all individuals.

In the end of the day.. just buy and be happy and enjoy the ride :D

That is why I do not agree to a swinging coe. Benefits the agents only. Usually pple hardly get their bids successful at an increasing coe situation. If coe drops and pple rush in to buy thinking they get a good deal, some of them turn out to be disapointed when coe increases back and they failed to get their rides. Anyway its my take only. Of course me too prefer a low coe.

Any bro knows abt shops which carries original Vezel accessories? Saw some vezels with metal boot plates..

I'm another lurker at this Vezel thread. Been following it for months but haven't decided if I should jump into this ship with everyone else because my trusty Honda Fit of many good years is still well, good. But the temptation of seeing Vezels and Vezels on the road is killing me and I'm about to surrender my lust and join all Vezel owners here.:wub:

MAIN POINT - I have been looking around for Vezel accessories just to see what I could possible dabble with if I do decide to take the plunge.. There are tons of accessories on taobao, Aliexpress and so on.. I've had my fair share of bad (and good) experiences with ordering items from online sites. Besides the waiting time, the fact that you will not know what to expect (item condition, fitment etc), finding a good installer (and reasonable labour fees), the unknown scares me.

We're killing the businesses of car accessories shop by ordering online so they're not gonna let us off easily with their installation charges.

I have ordered scuff plates, bodykit and car mat for my Fit from Taobao before because it was relatively cheap but end up disappointed thanks to the (inadequate) quality and fitment. Could be just my bad luck but since then I have resisted the temptation to order anything from Taobao, Ebay and the likes. I do scroll through them and poison myself but what I do do, is that I screenshot the interested items and then proceed to my preferred accessory shop in SG to check if they do carry the items. If they do not, I should be able to order through them and have them ship it for me.

You will probably end up paying a tad more than what you will have to pay if you order thru taobao but for that small amount of extra money paid, what I get back in return is a peace of mind. Any defects or what will be absorbed by the shop.

There are a few good accessory shops out there...

To name one it will be Premier Auto at WCEGA Plaza Level 3.

http://www.sgcarmart.com/directory/merchant.php?MID=10943

The lady boss (Yvonne) and the boss Allan they're nice people to talk to. I've done my full car audio, solar film, with them about two years ago, and last year front bumper conversion $180 I cannot remember if it was inclusive of installation (08 model to 12 facelift) and my Dad got his Harrier installed with the roof rack recently which cost about $200+ odd.. As I have been there twice for the past 2 months I have seen Vezels there almost daily. From my understanding they are one of the installer for PI carrying Vezels hence they bring in parts and accessories for the latter.. Either that or they can do a pre-order for you (happened to me before..)

They may not be the cheapest out there but I have no qualms in going back to them again and again because of their workmanship and the very nice bosses. Just a heads up, the lady boss may be a little intimidating (or grumpy) at first impression but she is definitely nice haha.

This is just based on my own experience and I am in no way related to the shop. Many bros and sis here have ordered from online sites and it worked for them but I think I'm the traditional kinda guy who cannot embrace technology and move with the times (fully) so I'm still sticking to brick and mortar shops.

Hope this helps and don't mind me for being too long winded... :XD:

I have been reading a decent amount of this thread for awhile now.

I went to test drive HRV and QQ today. (I know there's some differences btw Vezel vs HRV but I just wanted to 'feel' the car).

However I am still torn between Vezel and Qashqai 1.2 Turbo.

First question: Does anyone had this dilemma and what factors drove them to make their decision?

I have visited JDM and their pricing for Vezel @ $104,888 is really attractive.

My main concern is that it's too good to be true.

Second question: Does anyone have any experience with them? I would really appreciate if any bros can drop me a very short PM to share their experience.

This is my first post. Thanks guys!

I was also thinking go Qashqai and Vezel/HRV.

In the end my heart went for Vezel. Qashqai like run out of breath in higher speeds, good for pickup thou. HRV is more ex, less powerful then vezel, and using older technology, Why not go for the original japan made?

Btw, JDM pricing is too good to be true. Do read their terms n conditions. Wanted to buy 2 units from them originally, in the end walked off due to various reasons, e.g. attitude, rebate values, and need to top up for every single things i ask for.

Just my 1 cent worth of advise :)

Agreed with bro, Coe drop regret sign too early, Coe up regret never sign, so when is the right time? :)

For me, buying big item is not matter when is or not the right time, rather if I'm capable of buying at that time. Of course hassle free is most important, will rather pay abit more and channel my time to earn what I spend rather then going after dealer for delivery.

Just hear from my colleague he placed his order with Hup Long last week. They guarantee delivery within next month as they have stock on hand. I can't remember how much he paid, but he mention that he had to pay 2k more for it. I guess is how urgent you wish to collect your car. Good luck to all.

All the best to you.

As pple are trying to climb out from bad deals from this dealer, you are entering the lions den.
