I have driven corolla made in japan and corolla made in thailand b4, world of difference. Will skip toyota altogether. Talking about paper value also, not worth. OMV for thailand made is always lower than JDM. Price wise for Authorized dealer oftentimes are higher too. The old civic is way nicer than the latest one. Test drove the latest civic, drive wise quite ok but extremely disappointed in the whole plastic feel materials, it feels cheaper and cheaper, almost going the toyota route of saving costs in search of higher profit margin. I hope they do not continue such practice. In terms of getting the most bang for your buck, vezel has loads of features for that kind of money. The only thing is it will feel like an SUV when driven, a more zippy, eager to move off, tight cornering pup feel as compared to SUVs like the old model Hyundai tucson & Suzuki Grand Vitara. If you really still like the feel of a sedan, then stick to a sedan. Mazda 3 or 6 is not bad. If you really want stability, i would highly recommend AWD Subaru. My ex-ex-car was a Subaru Legacy 2.0L GT Wagon. A beast!! I have yet to drive the 1.5L cvt vezel though, would like to go for a test drive perhaps at Vincar or cartimes (without putting down 10k deposit!) Eventually chose the hybrid for even more fun, more horsepower and technology. All the best for your hunt bro, go molest the cars more, test drive test drive and test drive. Then feel where your heart lies. ↡ Advertisement

Thank you bro for the wonderful thoughts and insights. agree, what is wrong with kah motor for that awful ( but still the best rode) civic. other countries are already shipping in the 1.8 cvt 2014 civic with push start and keyless. typical kah motor strategy(or lack off). I guess they are trying to sell out and position the city 1st. Went cartimes. They told me to put up deposit. What absolute load. Hamburger Hypersonic February 4, 2015 Share February 4, 2015 So guys, am i right to say that Vezel has practically very little parf value upon its 10yrs? I would say it's good as I don't see the point of having parf where the money is stuck there for a decade.

Will try vincar or something Personally my dream car last time was also the previous civic launched in 2006/2007.. too bad was too young back then family couldn't justify having 2 cars, and we actually thought 80k for a civic back then was expensive.. haha the ironies of life. My family has generally been a Japanese car maker supporter, from the old corolla (unbelievable stability and just a wonderful drive overall), to nissan sunny (i don't know why it was the best selling car in singapore during the early 2000s) and then back to an altis (decent and comparable to the old corolla). I've always wanted to drive a honda but it usually is priced at a higher point as compared to toyota or nissan in the same category. Was pleasantly surprised when we originally intended to get a toyota wish, only to find a really seemingly superior alternative in vezel, at a relatively affordable price. Although I haven't physically sat in a moving vezel or test driven one before, the value of the car on paper compared to say altis is already significantly better. As with authorised dealers, Kah Motors prices and the models they bring in pale in comparsion with PI dealers. Of course many people still buy from them for the peace of mind. But the biggest reason why I'd go to the PI is because I also agree there is a difference between a JDM and a Thailand/Indonesia made car. Actually before hand vezel is the least i thought of. It's neither a saloon car nor suv. Im concern about the 1.5 powerplant able to take a car of its size. But then again i don't have much of a choices when a bloody piece of paper costs more than the car itself! Anyway my thoughts changes when i saw the car. What a beauty! So envy of you owners here! I'm actually torn between altis, civic amd the vezel.( not sure if 1500cc is sufficient, even though the new civic is only 1600cc) altis for it's reliability and civic for its pliant ride and stability. any of you bros tested the above cars? How is the vezel drive in comparison? If i were buying a car in this price range now i will be looking at Vezel or Mazda 3. Though the vezel is big but it is not that heavy - in fact lighter than the mazda3.

How is the vezel drive in compari I think the 1500cc is sufficient. Its high compression engine so gives more power and efficiency. Went up Novena 6th storey carpark sharp slope easily. Was in Malaysia 110/120kmh average with power to overtake easily. Ride i lowered the airpressure which the car was delivered to me with as felt it was too hard and bumpy. Aw seems good though and is around the price range, though I tot the Vezel hybrid would be more powerful I wana test drive the qashqai!! Test drove both 2 old models of QQ b4. Ok only. 1.2T of the skoda Yeti was sufficient given their good tranny. I wonder how wud qashqai feel. Seriously they shud bring in 17" or 18" max rims. 19" as standard on e QQ only serves to look good. Tyres will cost a bomb. 17" to 18" price difference in tyres is alredy larger than between 16" & 17".

Good package wud also mean..Free upgrade to highest spec HU system, free high end front/rear recording camera, free 3-in-1 (anti UV anti infrared anti shatter) solar film and 3layer car paint protection glass/ceramic coating. If get max loan of 50% or 60% on 5yrs tenure, dealer should be able to give you all these with healthy profits to spare. Especially if need to wait 4-6bids. COE Rebate level should also not be more than 3-5k(which is highly realistic) below existing COE levels. No top up is a must! IMO, anything else is a so-so deal. The space of vezel beats mazda 3 hands down, mazda 3 has the tightest space among all the 1.6 japanese sedans I have seen. Btw I am 1.8 metres tall.
