macrosszero Turbocharged April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 (edited) Perhaps some clarity on the "limited edition" Scuderia 430 - it may be one of 8 in Singapore, but it was an upgraded version of the 430 platform without a predefined production figure. It seems no one has an actual authoritative figure, actually, although over 1,000 seems to be commonly accepted. Of the 430s, only the 16M was limited to 499 cars, and has individually numbered plaques on each car to prove it. That being said, this isn't a bread-and-butter car that you expect to depreciate with the passage of time. Certain years hold their value, or even appreciate with time. For example, the 993 shape Porsche 911 which ended production in 1998 commands value similar to the later 997 Porsche 911s because they were the last of the air-cooled Porsches. Super7 Turbocharged April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 errr.. it is a second-hand car with dubious origin and history. Ferrari would want to keep BRAND NEW car buyers and owners happy.... don't think they can be bothered with these grey market guys. Come to think of it, the AD should have refused servicing/repairing such a dubious car in the first place. Or, at least take extra care driving it during the test. Super7 Turbocharged April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 Supposedly some dark knight/ Death Knight riding a "nightmare" (mythical horse that is the "evil" cousin of the "good" Pegasus). OIC, somehow the stories about such knights with their mythical power etc sound more interesting than some of today's heros who could fly all on their own and may even transform into unbeatable robots. Sorry OT
Viceroymenthol 6th Gear April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 How you know is not from AD? could have been Hong seh If so, there wouldn't have been so many question marks about the OMV. Hong Seh would have passed all corporate data to Ital during the handover.... Think Ferrari would have insisted on it.

inlinesix Hypersonic April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 Wow! Maria Sharapova! What kind of autograph? Lao chup on the leather seat? Or is it Marge Simpson?!?! Schumi lah. Large signature on the right pillar (btw rear winds screen & triangle glass). Luv the engine note from Scud. To get Michelle Yeo or Mrs Todt to come down settle the thing? Jean Todt & Michelle Yeo was in town over the wkend to open new AAS building.
ins1dious Turbocharged April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 Ferrari is high end manufacturer leh. If anything, they will blame the owner of the used Ferrari.... see lah, who ask you buy second hand and import yourself from dunno where.... Want to buy Ferrari, please buy from AD! Oh please. If they so against 2nd hand cars or PI cars then they should have refused service.

Viceroymenthol 6th Gear April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 Oh please. If they so against 2nd hand cars or PI cars then they should have refused service. But Ferrari and Ital Auto are separate entities leh... Ital Auto could have accepted the car for servicing but that is none of Ferrari's business leh... So the person who mentioned that manufacturer should be responsible instead of the sales/servicing agent is incorrect leh. The car is way past warranty, and if not bought from authorised Ferrari agent, anything could have occurred (intentional or otherwise) to the mechanicals or the structural integrity of the car, so why should Ferrari the manufacturer be held responsible in any way? Keithchue 5th Gear April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 This is completely irrelevant here. Traction control won't help you unless you have at least one driven wheel that still has traction. So it won't help in aquaplaning or a large oil slick. And of course, TC can be turned off. On Ferraris, the setting is on the steering, within easy reach. No one except the test driver can know what happened, unless logged data is pulled off the ECU. In fact, I think the owner's first step should be to get a court order to enjoin the dealer from tampering with the ECU logged data, and to get an independent read of it. pardon me if wrong, spinning out of control means all 4 wheels on the ground, what about ESP? ABS? etc.

Super7 Turbocharged April 28, 2014 Share April 28, 2014 Jean Todt & Michelle Yeo was in town over the wkend to open new AAS building. Was wondering why Todt gave such 'big face' to AA for the opening of only an interim HQ building!? Maybe AA CEO is also in the internal audit comm of FIA, he better support AA else the audit will be very thorough? Just kidding
