Yesterday as I was doing my runs in the multi-storey car park, I saw a SLA plate Sonata LF sunroof in white parked at one of the upper floors... still looked so new... I wonder if the owner renewed the COE already since it's older than my own SLB plate which has 1 year and 1.5 months to go...

Not only that, I remember reading somewhere Hyundai may cease the Sonata line altogether with the focus on SUV and EV. The closest EV replacement is the Ioniq 6. 

Still see 1 or 2 very rare NF "taxi" model, the i45 and our LF will be last of this line here in SG. If I am so lucky to be able to keep my LF running, will continue to update in this thread occasionally when the forum is swamped by EV lia haha.

Yeah... I really thought I would be one of the last of the Mohicans driving a family saloon for another 10 years... sadly this class of cars will die out within the next 10 years... 

Only the Camry, Accord, Sonata are still on regular sale in the US... the Mazda 6 is so long in the tooth but still no replacement in sight... the Subaru Legacy is no more like the Ford Mondeo, the Passat/Superb on its last legs, so is the Kia Optima... and the Nissan Altima (Teana) also long gone...

Actually hor, the paintwork of this Sonata is really something leh... I never wash car one... literally... I don't even send it to the car wash... the car gets washed only when it rains... so that happens only at my work place which has an open air car park... but when I send the car for waxing (1x a year only), the car paintwork still looks really new and good... pretty amazing for a 9 year old car with zero care for the paintwork... same same for the rubber bits and the panoramic sunroof... amazed at the durability and quality of the Hyundai parts...
