i believe each and everybody has his destiny...good or bad, live with it and live with dignity.

a successful person is measured by how many people can still remember him after he is dead.

with his wealth if he give 1 million people $10,000 each, i bet 1 billion people will remember him (cos it will become a big news), no?

giving away $$$ don't make people remember you. In fact, it's the fastest for people to forget about you.

You need to be someone like Steve Jobs, selling overpriced fruit phones, people remember him even most did not meet him personally.

In short, you need to make people "suffer", come out with large sum of money to "feed" you, then they will remember you.

with his wealth if he give 1 million people $10,000 each, i bet 1 billion people will remember him (cos it will become a big news), no?

my definition of successful (rich) is not measured by wealth.

to me, TTS is already very very rich....(measured by the things he does for the nation and the people)

it ought to be pretty obvious.

i read of an experiment. Cant remember the source already...

Some well off folks were put on a "poor regiment"... food quality, rest, work hours etc, then they did written test daily.  ... but of cos they cannot reproduce the real daily stress cos these are well off folks who could return to their old life style anytime..

surprise surprise. as the days went on, their written test results began to fall as they began to have reduced mental abilities..

conclusion, when you are poor ... or "low ses" ... its actually effecting your decision making and mental capacities.

its not simply.. you are lazy to help yourself..

but the rich will never understand, cos they couldn't possibly experience it themselves.

how to work that into policy making? no idea...

it is easy to say whatever concept or ideal you have when you made it. You can even say money can drop form the sky if you believe in it.

yes i am a sour grape [laugh][laugh]

If Jack would need to do it the 2nd time, he thinks he will be so lucky? To me this is arrogance to its limit. Hokkien song says 70% hardworking and 30% luck. There is always element of luck which includes opportunities,  environment,  people, etc. Live in the jungle and see if ever be rich flush with cash?

In MCF some people like to come here and tell everyone I very rich, I very successful, I very smart, I got very good MIL.

I like to be original. I tell everyone, I not rich, I not successful, I not smart and I don't have a good MIL.

SHANGHAI : Ant Group is connected to a corruption scandal involving the former party secretary of Chinese technology hub Hangzhou, the Financial Times reported on Friday, citing public records and sources.
