My Note 2 is very laggy after the OS upgrade. This lag issue seems to be a common problem in android phones.

Its samsung problem... Samsung is famous with loading is phone with tonnes of bloatware . You want fast android, get the vanilla one like nexus series.. Sometimes, I felt my backup nexus4 is faster than htc one...

Never liked Nokia in the past also. Didn't find them more user friendly as many claimed it to be. I find Siemens and SE more user friendly instead. At least, no need to restart phone when changing language. I still cannot understand why Nokia until now still does not allow you to change system language without powering down even for their current smartphones. Luckily, their Windows keyboard language can be set on the fly without powering down. Otherwise, I can't compose a mixed text without restarting..... [bigcry]

The reason I switched to Nokia is Lumia Windows phone for its HERE worldwide GPS navigation and superb stability of Windows phone. Plus, it's a underdog phone now. [:p]

I do have plan to try Window phone next....And I might get it from htc (if they still built Window phone then) instead of Nokia... With Nokia dominated Window phone market, I don't like... Hehehe... But have to admit their latest phone are quite impressive especially the camera side...

depends on OS I guess.

I had Omnia W on Windows 7.8, superb stability from day 1 until it suddenly died off due to screen failure. Phone can still function sans screen.

I do agree that the hardware components are not as good than Japanese.

Glad to know the new Window phone are stable... I had the worst experience with Omnia, with win6.5... Daily multiple reboot is a feature build in it seems...... My shortest phone ownership it was...

Yah, .. But price is not my main consideration in buying phone..., so, xiaomi is out..

And agree samsung phone cannot last... So many years of using hp, I've only been to service center once and it was for a fried motherboard s3, 7mths old... And my htc desire is still working fine up to today with the original battery... Talk about build quality, I have good experience with htc

Im using the HTC M7 and everybody that sees my photos and selfie shots all comment that the pics all look fantastic. It may be only 4Mp but honestly its enough for phone and FB usage. Its even easy to whatsapp as the file sizes are much smaller than the 13mp of the s4. The low light capabilities blow even my GFs Note 3 out of the water. Once out of contract im going to try the M8 for sure.

I do hard reset (factory reset) every 6 mths to "detox" the phone. After the reset, become very fast. Tip: try not to upgrade the software.

That everybody doesn't include me, i have never owned a Nokia before.... Never like to join the crowd... Just like I will never buy an iPhone... I'm an underdog supporter.... Hehehe...

Haha, me too. never own Nokia and Iphone before, all underdog brand like HTC, Huawei, Asus, Redmi, sonyericson.

I will get Iphone 6 when my contract expired. But will sell away immediately to cash in.

With Korean's phone, you always need a standby 'cos hardware problem can suddenly arise.

My Omnia W died suddenly without any warning. Luckily, I bought a Lumia to standby 2 weeks before it conks.

Totally agree,

Was using HTC HD, then one year later battery life shortened, changed to HTC Sensation XE, the Wifi is crap.

The functions were mainly cater to 20 something. Until HTC one came out last year, 4G was fast. But the 32 gb storage is like a joke. But there is a HTC app that is very useful for me, one remote for TV, sound bar, Mio TV/starhub, can even scroll for TV guide using phone. HTC on disappointment is there is no DLNA so cannot show picture on TV directly.

I think HTC M8 should suit me. Hope it's DLNA and the TV app ready.

It's out but I don't dare to install as in the past s/w upgrades screwed up the phone :(

Im using HTC butterfly s currently. And after upgrading the firmware from 4.3 to 4.4, the external sd card memory becomes read only. Meaning u can't delete, edit rename or modify the files on ur external sd card using ur phone. To delete files u need to use a computer. Not sure if it's the same for other phones like Samsung, Sony etc but this is a point to take note of.

Regarding the camera, yes the resolution sucks at only 4mp so detail is not there. But if u don't pixel peed, its good. But the camera really shines in low light conditions.

But the main reason I got this phone is the front facing speakers. Great if u like to watch videos on ur phone.
