Icebrush79 4th Gear April 17, 2014 Share April 17, 2014 Any bros out there knows anything about the history of this red and white "Tan Tong Meng" tower ? I'll be shifting into my matrimonial home in about a month's time. Home is right next to this Tan Tong Meng tower. Have been hearing rumours about this building being haunted, I'm absolutely fine, I love the location and my new place. Problem is, due to my long hours at work, I normally reach home quite late, wifey is getting the jitters because of this. Thus would appreciate anyone who knows any history of this place so that I can calm my wifey lol. Thanks in advance PS: Radx, not sure if I should post this under the property segment or Lite & Easy, so pls move my thread if you think its unsuitable here. cheers Have attached the picture of Tan Tong Meng Tower for easy reference ↡ Advertisement

TJX Turbocharged April 17, 2014 Share April 17, 2014 Balestier side know for lots of "floaters" coz many places of worship ie"temple" ard there... The spirits like to hang ard those places but are generally harmless. This is what I heard from my Taoist friend who's family is quite a well know medium. Dun worry abt it bro, 平日不做愧心事,半夜敲门也不惊. U dun disturb them, they won't disturb u. Dun think too much and scare urself.

The junction in front of Tan Tong Meng Tower is the cleanest and never heard of any major accidents although it is a very busy junction. So how can the tower be haunted .... Kxbc Turbocharged April 17, 2014 Share April 17, 2014 wah, you really bought a place there. i remember you were asking a couple of years back if that area was any good. Cube 8? I don't live near there but used to go around that area for late dinners. no unearthy experiences so far. read that some longhouse hawkers will be moving to the balestier mkt soon. you will have a little more choices then. I only knew opposite the SingTel Exchange haunted...... The junction in front of Tan Tong Meng Tower is the cleanest and never heard of any major accidents although it is a very busy junction. So how can the tower be haunted .... got urban legend stating that the ttm tower is haunted that is why they always have it in red. before it was re-painted red, it was also a red striped building. but got to agree the roads there are very busy. you should know. you stay nearby mah. Cannot paint any other colours ... didn't hear about this feng shui thing before. even if haunted, the years of constant construction around ttm tower will also drive any unearthy being crazy enough such that they go look for another residence. maybe the singtel exchange or thomson medical centre opp? Can't rem what's the story behind it. there is a reason why its painted red. the old tale is in order to ward off the spirits or the feng shui, the owner painted it red. But dont worry la bro. Do no evil, see no evil.
