I think the ship/business owner should be investigated.

Understand the ship was designed for 987 tons. But the ship was in fact carrying 3600tons .

 

This I think will make the hull immerse lower into sea level making easier to hit any nigher than normal riiffs? Also make the ship less monueverable?

 

Also heard that the business owner was charged & convicted for fraud b4.

 

The captain jumping ship is , however, they should also check who "allowed" it ! Was such overloading being carried out all this while.?

 

As per all things, address the root of the problem, esp since the business owner had previous conviction of fraud.
