If I'm not wrong is a dry one which make things worst

Hi pls share the source that indicates it's dry type? Cos for singapore driving the wet type is preferred.

Thanks. It's a good read. Since Honda has tweaked the dual clutch gearbox who knows it might work right compared to the Germans who suggested that wet DC gb is the way to solve the problem in the long run. I do believe Honda Vezel Hybrid and some Freed hybrid models also having this improved DC gb.

for honda to adapt dct, the effects or reliability still too early to tell. give it at least 3-5 years before problem starts to surface, if any.

never liked cvt gearbox either due to reliability. tends to kaput above 100k mark when you start feeling the jerks.

traditional 4at gearboxes are still the best workhorses.

My jazz now at 35k. Still got 65k to go. Hope it wun kaput by then.

I've driven a 4AT almera before. It's a load of crap. Maybe it's a rented car.

I have a sienta previously, it's a cvt too. Survive 220k before I sell it. I don't think 100k will kaput, voice down to how you take care of the car

Hypersonic

I believe cvt gear has been in the market for decades liao, should not be any problem de. Think mitsubishi cars has been using cvt gear donkey years ago. Then later nissan cars also use cvt gear for many years.

neither is CVT.

Up to individuals perception. My last Honda jazz GD1 drove for 10yrs till 220k km b4 scrap last year. Few month before scrap, I still tested on HSHW. Sswee swee still capable of overtaking at 140km.. I still believe it all boil down to basic maintenance plus knowing the limit of what not to do too often.

Due to new facelift coming out for Japan. Existing stock already cleared by kah motor. Someone mentioned new FL jazz reaching sg in early 2018 from what he was told by SE.

OK thks! A real pity have to wait so long for a popular model which would otherwise have sold well in this 2nd half of 2017 before the new VES comes into effect in 2018.
