Porker Turbocharged September 28, 2015 Share September 28, 2015 Yes I'm also sad. Instead of an old fashioned handbrake lever that's slightly shorter than my dick, they gave us a teensy little cover that's slightly longer than yours. Your dick is 9 inch count head. Mine is 9 inch don't count head 😂😂😂 ↡ Advertisement
Duckduck Turbocharged September 28, 2015 Share September 28, 2015 Grab i don't know. For Uber Taxi, driver need to key in the charge as per meter into Uber App. Taxi fare will be paid using CC via Uber app. so taxi coys dont care that theyre losing revenue to uber? Mcf777 Turbocharged September 28, 2015 Share September 28, 2015 For UBER passengers taking Comfort taxi, does insurance still cover during accident? Cos if Comfort find out that the meter is not running or the UBER Customers state in his police report that he is a UBER customer at the time of accident, then dua ki liao for the driver. Solar Turbocharged September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 Taxi drivers used to prefer cash. But anything that can help them earn more they will pick up sooner or later one la. My dad used to say he don't want to use uber because only CC. Now he use uber cuz he realise the incentives very good. As soon as he used uber, he boosted his income from 5-6k to about 7k a month driving the same hours. From 6am to 4pm. That's before the costs like car and fuel right? Jman888 Moderator September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 ok i confuse so uber pays d taxi coy after customer pays thru their app? it is like taxi driver using company vehicle for moonlighting as Uber driver, taxi company dun get a cut, it is between the driver and Uber since he is using the Uber apps, no one will know ..... i think! but taxi got satellite tracking once engine started right? anyway, the taxi driver is paying daily rental, collection has nothing to do with the company if he clock the minimum hour? Carnoob Supercharged September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 Grabtaxi charges the taxi driver a fixed rate per booking they accept. Uber takes a portion of the fare if I am not wrong. Grab uses the concept of e-wallet: meaning the driver must have e.g. $100 in his e-wallet. Grab will calculate the distance and time for the customer and charge a fixed rate e.g. $10. Once driver accept the job, Grab will just deduct $2 straight from driver's e-wallet. If there is any additional charges e.g. ERP, extra stopovers then driver will need to add on to the fixed rate and inform the customer of the final fare. Uber works differently... Uber will take 20% of the total fares (minus the ERP which they reimburse 100%). So if total fare is $10, Uber will take $2 but after the trip is completed. Taxi company don't bother so long they pay the rent. For Ubertaxi, the taxi driver will on the taxi meter and at the end of the trip he will enter the total fare into the Ubertaxi apps. The customer will not need to pay cash, the fare will be deducted from his/her CC. Uber will take a cut from the fare entered by taxi driver. I have no idea how Grabtaxi works... anyone? Grabtaxi follow the meter in the taxi. Taxi company don't bother so long they pay the rent. Grabtaxi works by charging a fee for each booking the taxi driver accepts. Should be 50c. Don't know how much the passenger got to pay though. Other than that, its like taking a normal taxi. It follows the meter in the taxi and the passenger pays the fare to the taxi driver. it is like taxi driver using company vehicle for moonlighting as Uber driver, taxi company dun get a cut, it is between the driver and Uber since he is using the Uber apps, no one will know ..... i think! but taxi got satellite tracking once engine started right? anyway, the taxi driver is paying daily rental, collection has nothing to do with the company if he clock the minimum hour? I doubt that its considered moonlighting la. Cuz they are using uber as a means to get bookings only. Once the passenger boards, its just like a normal taxi. I think all these apps making people get confused. Ubertaxi and uberx or uberexec work differently. Just like grabcar and grabtaxi work differently. Ubertaxi and grabtaxi work as a booking system for the taxi drivers only. Meter they got to follow the LTA one in their taxi. Whereas for uber and grabcar they use their own method since they do not have meter in those cars. For UBER passengers taking Comfort taxi, does insurance still cover during accident? Cos if Comfort find out that the meter is not running or the UBER Customers state in his police report that he is a UBER customer at the time of accident, then dua ki liao for the driver. As I mentioned above, uber and ubertaxi work differently. Uber is for people using their own car. Ubertaxi is for taxi drivers with the taxi vocational license. Only thing that changes for taxi drivers that use ubertaxi is the way they get their passengers and how they are paid. Instead of waiting for people to flag them down, they get bookings through the app and instead of getting cash, the passenger pays them by CC through the app. Other than that, sitting in the taxi is still the same and it follows the meter in the taxi. Nzy Twincharged September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 (edited) collection is also revenue for taxi coys so why wld they share their resource to allow other coy to earn collections? thats wat im asking if u r a comfort delgo shareholder, u wld b asking that The taxi companies aren't getting a cut from the fares the drivers are paid. They only earn from the rental and booking right? I guess that's why that time comfort stepped in to say that these apps need to be regulated. They are the only company with a large amount of booking and the apps probably affecting their revenue. LTA say they will monitor but looks like till now nothing is being done. As for the rest of the taxi companies, I don't think they get alot of revenue from the bookings. Ask those taxi drivers, all those that are not from comfort say they hardly get any bookings from the taxi company itself. That's why they are happy with all these apps as it levels the playing field for them. In the past, comfort was attractive because of the amount of bookings they can get through comfort. Now, with all these apps, it doesn't give them much of an advantage already. Now alot of taxi drivers don't mind driving for the other companies cuz of these apps. Fcw75 Hypersonic September 29, 2015 Share September 29, 2015 Perhaps it's time to take a step back and ask why Uber can survive here? Simply because for years, the govt couldn't find a solution to the taxi problem. Can't get taxis during peak hrs, etc. They tried methods like increasing surcharges here and there which even confused locals sometimes, forcing taxis to drive at least 250km a day, etc. So Uber came in and fill in the gap. Simple as that. It's akin to a failed marriage. If a couple broke up because of third party, it is because there were gaps in the marriage already. If it was strong, will the third party even stand a chance?

Otherwise, very simple: 7am - 12am: 80% of registered fleet must be on the road taking customer. That's mean the driver must show Available. The above data has to be reported to LTA daily. Any shortfall will attract $10k penalty per 1% pts shortfall. ↡ Advertisement
