Can I ask again, who should pay for the erp fee coming into CBD to pick up passenger?

If justgrab/grabcar/grab family.. Rider do not need to pay for the ERP when driver come in to pick you up. Of coz when on the journey pass through erp rider pay.

However if book grabshare, if driver already picked up a rider and accept your grabshare ping. This driver than drove to your pick up location and incur the ERP toll. This one both rider will share the ERP cost.

I really hope the customer service read the terms and conditions before replying the passenger, i was inside the cbd making the booking [sweatdrop]

Driver no need to pay for justgrab? So rider needs to pay if driver accept the job outside cbd? As a rider i didnt know about this? Lol. I only know rider to pay all the ERP charges when the rider has boarded the car if it passes any ERP gantry.

Read again, I was saying rider do not need to pay for erp when driver accept the job and on the route to pick up pax. It is only when the journey start then any ERP that driver pass through, rider need to pay.

in summary, driver's own cost if;

1. any ERP incurred prior to passenger boarding;

or

2. any ERP cost incurred after passenger dropoff, assuming there's no other way to exit the dropoff location except to go through the next immediate ERP gantry

:XD:

Maybe this will make it more easily understood.

Ya. Same for taxi. Thats why taxi drivers like to stay within CBD and wait at taxi stands once a passenger takes their taxi into CBD.

No lah. What's there to b defensive about. Just stating the facts and best way for riders who stinch on 1 2 dollars ERP but choose PH for convenience. Isn't it taking bus and Train best? No worries of over charging. No worries to spend 50 cts more but willing to spend few dollars extra. LOL!

It's okay not to care. We are not grab shareholders (except thru temasick).

But it's not okay to keep whining as though we are entitled to free money from service providers.

You can never change the mindset of self-entitled cherry pickers. The whole world owes them a living. They are the saints that drives you to your destinations ok? [:p]

Nobody would do that except the GREAT ones.

Actually, I don't understand what Grab's policy is, till today.

Unless someone can show me how it's explicitly stated, who pays for ERP on-route to pickup, everyone seem to have their own idea on who's to pay.

Uber had one time allowed drivers to claim outside of the fare from them by submitting a request.

Then they withdraw it, and apparently, some drivers stopped picking up riders when they have to pay on their own to enter ERP for a pickup.

For Grab, it's not so clear to me.

Recently, I was outside ERP (around Nicoll Highway) before 8pm, and as my setting was on Auto-accept, I got a rider at Suntec. I had to pass through ERP which cost me $2. It was a cash ride to airport about $17. I decide I've lost $2 and not collect from rider, which means the fare is only $15 to me.

For the moment, I decided I'm not going to be near CBD ERP gantry to avoid any argument on who's to pay.

Suntec, Bugis Junction, Middle Rd, and others , I'd avoid being near to be caught to pay for ERP.

Some drivers may not mind, but if the trip fare was a $6, after paying for a $3 ERP and 20% commission to Grab, you get practically nothing. So why bother ?

And if you cancel or not accept the trip, your ratings get affected on top.

It's stated very clearly in their policy that when riders are still not in the vehicle, any cost incurred enroute to pick up your riders is on your own. This was also told to you during PDVL lesson. No argument, no assumption.

That said, it's only logical that you don't go driving cheapos around but earn shit unless you don't mind doing charity run. I know of a few in this forum who don't mind doing that., so to each their own. They have time and fuel to burn and love doing Saint charity work.

Hopw this clears your doubt.

Thought only United Airlines throw in facial massage and free dental. Now Grab also!

[thumbsup]

Yah, cheapest dental in town. In fact, cheapest in JB too, and some say Batam!
