Im a uber trainer, won top-rated driver award for 8 weeks from 14weeks of driving.

So u guys have any questions for uber can always ask me.

And anyone see uber driver "no up", if one is hardworking enough, we are able to make a gross profit of $2000 per week ($100k per year) after less cost (rental, petrol, ERP etc).

My best income per week is at $4800.

Fares collected is at $900 and uber top up the rest due to exclusive invitation events & other incentives.

I guess in every country where Uber exists, their public taxis and/or private transport should be available. Hence, it is unlikely that I will ever take Uber since I don't sign up as their subscriber which requires info such as credit cards for payment and unlikely will ever - at least for the foreseeable future.

That's why I told u to open ur mind.

Beside Uber, there is also success story from China. Didi kuaidi.

Open ur mind.

If u don't need Über in Sg, what's make u taking it elsewhere?

Taking Uber from Changi is cheaper than taxi.

As in from Changi Airport to Woodlands at 2am?

60 hours a week is alot of hours put in

Average office worker start work at 9am to 6pm = 9 hours per day = 45 hours per week.

Commute to work each way 1 hour = 2 hours per day = 10 hours

Whats 60 hours which office is right at the carpark.

Last time when I was a branch manager for a SME, I worked from 7am to 12 midnight almost everyday which is average 80 to 85 hours per week.

It's really good income but do take note:

1. Seems like a high percentage of your income is not from actual fares. These incentives are likely to fall when uber has a larger base of drivers. Their current incentives seem to be more than their commission so it is not sustainable.

2. More drivers=more competition=lesser passengers.

How long has the company been in operation?

Do you know what's the co strategy in short & long term?

Rather than questioning its survivability, why not Uber short & long term strategy?

IMO, using own vehicle as a taxi is not a good idea if you have a family since a taxi carries various type of passengers who are often strangers.

It is difficult to tell if a passenger has an infectious disease which is one of the many occupational hazard taxi drivers are exposed to.

If someone with an infectious disease sits in your car and if it is not well cleaned and fumigated, such health risk is inevitably exposed to your family unless their immunity level is high.

Perhaps I'm just being paranoid?

Ssdc instr ever tell me....peeps say their job easy n lepak. But forget that they are sick quite often as they often catch the cold, cough n flu from students.

Sounds like in car air purifier is a must. And keep a bottle of sanitizer those that they use in hospitals to clean off after a shift.

Fetched a lady from changi airport to woodlands for $26.18 at 1am.

Should be cheaper than taxi right?

I have fetched many ladies who are single home, boyfriend who sent their girlfriend home by uber.

Nothing happened la, everything is traceable.

We just want to earn yr fares, nobody want to see your wife underwear.

Sounds like a great sideline, mainline or retirement line.

Better to register a car using commercial license then. NCD can be transferred or sold?

If you rent their car, you must do at least 40 trips a week else there's a $100 charge.

My bro worked part-time as a Uber driver and he rented a car for a month to try it out. To use your car as a Uber car, u have to register a company and convert yr car insurance to a commercial insurance (and losing yr NCD).

Every morning he can do about 10 rides, he start about 7am after sending his kids to school.

Basically the govt don't know how to handle the taxi situation and Uber and Grabcar is here to fill in the void.

Go for their briefing first. I going to Uber office this afternoon to sign up as a driver. Sharing the rental car with my bro.

Actually they have been buying a lot of 8-9 years old Japanese cars and as a result the prices of those cars have been jacked up.

My taxi driver friend told me sometimes he gets to opt for payment in kind after picking up foreign ladies

Uber drivers have this incentive or not?
