A little drop in speed won't endanger cars behind lah....I'll not saying he drop his speed suddenly by 20-30 km/h...

I just felt if TS had drop a little speed (just foot off the accerlator pedal), the Mini could have cut thru without touching TS's car. And all can be avoided.

Individual drivers react differently; the Mini cut in abruptly and TS not aware and reflex action press on his brakes? and the car behind is < 3 car length away? Is this not enough for a rear ender? and all the while the Mini get away scot free while TS get banged for nothing?

The fact is the Mini is wrong to cut in dangerously in front of TS to cut thru 4 lanes, and if we are all so "accommodating" then this nonsense will not end... avoid the wrong things, and you will not avoid the consequences...

Heard all the feedbacks. Some felt that I need to release the accelerator, some says I did the right thing by swerving left, some says I need to do something about the tissue pack.

Fully agreed with the tissue pack issue - will do something.

This Mini came cutting in to my fast and furious to my surprise. The moment I notice it, he was already on my front-right corner, and from my side window, he is real close.

My instinct is to swerve left. I am aware that my left lane is empty, and I think by doing so will give me a better chance to avoid collision. By easing the accelerator might have a different outcome.

Fully heard all the views and appreciate all the advice given.

I agree with the bro who said you should remove the tissue box from your dash. It not only make it difficult to view your video but also it can be very distracting to the driver.

As for the video, I personally feel that the mini is much closer to TS car than it appears in the video. DVRs are usually mounted in the middle of the windscreen meaning the video's angle is different from the driver's angle. So if you are the one driving, the mini would appear much closer to the car.

This is very typical of our cars exiting expressways. 4-5 lanes cross all at once!

To most drivers out there, there are only 3 lane out there, entrance lane, lane 1, and exit lane....

Most drivers die die want to be in lane 1 once they join the expressway no matter how empty lane 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 are empty or not....

If they integrate it, it will become 2 lanes for most drivers then......

This is a good idea bro. Just combine all lanes and make 2 wider lanes. When taxi uncles move to one side of the lane during cornering, we can over take them!
