Little_prince Supersonic March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 Hi, Looking for a good peranakan food for family dinner. Any recommendation? Preferable east side peramakan is the best. There's a branch at East coast rd. Inside satan grand hotel. The buah kelauak and durian pengat are must order. http://www.peramakan.com/hampers.htm
Neutrino Supercharged March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 (edited) this one is good but the place is not big and not like those big restaurant, but a cozy place for small group. http://www.dulukala.com/menu.html Been there twice. So so. Not the best for a family or largish group. Easier and better to cook your own. Time consuming but can be made ahead of time and re heated. Say Babl Pongteh Beef rendang. Itek Tim Can buy some nice Otak otak from NTUC. Some Acar Some vege All the dishes are quite straight forward to make and imo will be better than any restaurant we've tried in Sing, Malacca and Penang. You might try 'Ivins' if you don't want to cook but the quality and taste is way down on what it used to be years ago Edited March 28, 2014 by Neutrino

I feel Ivin is like home cook and more toward Indonesia Chinese than nonya. Edited March 28, 2014 by Jman888

Neutrino Supercharged March 29, 2014 Share March 29, 2014 I'd also add Curry Wok at/near Coronation PLaza/ Maybe not fully 100% Nonya cooking but very similar and good. But smallish place. ↡ Advertisement
