Suicide AGAIN

Very sad to hear this..... [smallcry]

I hope all adults are sensible enough to know that life is precious and you have no right to take another life, even if it is your own children.

The problem is that this is based on the thoughts of a person who is in a healthy state of mind.

However, for those whom had lost it......the mind set turns to, if I die alone, who will take care of my 2yr old. So why not lets go together & we can be mother & daughter at the other side.

A healthy rational mind would again question, if so, why do this since u love ur child?. Again, its because of an infirm mind.

Esp so in an Asian city where any form of mental illness is taboo. Usually, depression does not immediately go into such an extreme state.

It progresses left untreated. Just like cancer, stage 1, 2, 3, final.....

And in Sin where face value is of utmost importance, this problem is exacerbated.

Hopefully for others going through a depression, relatives can spot it and take over care giving to the child while the adult is given time space to sort his/ her own problems out.

A kid's destiny is not set in stone yet. Let the kid write their own story.

Haiz..... If suicide takes tremendous courage, why not use that same courage to live on and face life straight on? At the very least, dun leave loved ones behind in grief or guilt.

Just my thoughts...... and thnx for sharing yours.

Hi, Bro PSP415,

Good Day.

Let me tells you a real suicidal story happened with me 20 years ago, I finished work and travelled down to Alexandra Hospital from factory in Jurong to visit my terminal ill 50+ years old bachelor uncle, I was shocked to see him been tied up with hands and legs onto his heavy metal sick bed.

I asked him what's gone wrong before I arrive, he told me softly into my ears........."he was caught climbing up onto the 3 storey window by the nurse, he explained that he won't want to burden me any more in urge to have quick release for himself and for me in sufferings"

I took 3 full days to convinced him to live on till the very last day for the sake of our love we both shared together as well as with our other family members, finally he understand how it would hurt me and his sister(my mother) even deeper and promised to give up his suicide attempt, he stays happy living everyday to see me coming to the hospital till his final day of death.

All these killing own self courage are actually a selfless and impulsive act for their love ones, but if they knows it's actually hurting their love one's much more than the burdens with their true loving and caring, they'll quit this meaningless suicidal temptation.

We see a specialist for whatever really ills that common gp cannot help.

We take care and look after the health of our hearts, our kidneys, our livers, our whatever EXCEPT our brains/mind's.

Time to remember that our brains can also fall sick and needs medication to help it heal. It's a very special and most dedicated member of our body and probably most misunderstood.

Time not to laugh when people seek medical help for their mental health. Time to be more sensitive and accepting because these can come from within our own families, friends etc.

Dun give up on life! Seek help!

U are a timely lifesaver! And I am glad for your uncle's behalf that he spared your mum (his sister) and loved ones more grief.

Selfishless or impulsive or courageous, I know that suicide is not the answer to life's problems, regardless the motivation.

Thnx for sharing and if my posts sounded harsh or unsympathetic towards these, I am neither. Just very sad that these chose this path and leave more damage for loved ones to handle. Haiz.....have a good evening, u have a kind heart.

Safe ride

Cheers

My block got a primary school boy jumper. Down from 5th floor kitchen window.

My neighbouring blocks got a further 2 jumpers. All not reported.

they must report all this to face reality of how pressurizing society really is now. the more they hide cases, the more itll happen coz the right treatment isnt being applied n public suicide helplines etc arent being increased accordingly.

to assume status quo n downplay suicides without accepting reality is being unfair to our society. its going to get even worse with another 1.5M people getting squeezed in here.

If they cant even support 5.4M people with the right public help, how can they be prepared for 6.9M? Same problem with lack of policemen now. Our public infrastructure is severely under developed.

From suicide helplines to policeman to MRT, all are lacking n need upgrades immediately. if they dont address this by 2016, i know where my vote goes to

I visit some old relatives who are bedridden, some are actually vegetable due to serious illnesses/ old age. To see them suffering pains really breaks our hearts especially those of us who are very close to them.

We wish them live as long as they could and that we can still see them, talk to them even though they may not recognise us or hear us any more.

But sometimes, looking at the quality (or lack of) of their lives now, if they wish to go and suffer no further pains, who are we to stop them?

These are extreme cases, I guess.

Sometimes getting stressed is almost inevitable given the cosmopolitan and survival-for-the-fittest environment we live in here on this congested island.

Most people caught up in the rat race will continue to expend all their energies and time into the race and before they know it, their entire life will just revolve around work, work, work and nothing else. (or study, study, for students)

Fortunately there are some who realise this, and manage to stand back and re-organised their life and set aside some time / engergies to relax their mind and body.

This can take the form of exercise, socialising, meditations, religions, etc, or something that give themselves a chance to divert their mind from work / studies to give them a break once in a while.

My goodness ! Just one suicide thread leads to so many others actual happenings found by you Mcfers on line.

My very first doubt is.... What's is happening with these decease whom choose to end up their precious life in this way, second doubt is why are our media kept silent in less opens reporting, wide publicity may help to make awareness to any one who feels mishap are about to take place with their love one in sensibility of unusual behaviours or suicidal declarations to ask for timely life saving help and resources.

Rest In Peace with these deceased.
