If yours no need pay,... just change. But if you got tint,.. sorry not covered. Just have to re-tint out of your own pocket.

 

Now waiting to replace windscreen, have to pay $107.00 later need to re-tint . Anyone know how much for windscreen only.

Depends on the grade.

Last time I paid mine was around $140... so so mid range, no brand.

 

If you wanna put tint, best to get them installed on it first before they replace the windscreen,... minimise the wait,... oso easy install for them.

Just to share on my recent windscreen change..
My insurance has windscreen claim with $0 excess and with option to go back to agent workshop.
I was told by my insurance company that they only cover windscreen change and solar film not covered.
If your car originally comes with solar films (OEM) and with proof on your "customer order" (show with solar films), go back to your AD/agent workshop for replacement, they will know how to claims windscreen with solar film for you.
The quotation they/AD sent for insurance will be windscreen, the replacement kits, labour, IU bracket, and "solar film"; as told by my service advisor they will only include solar film if you can provide the "retail customer order" that indicate the film is install by them.
Of course you still need to file the claim with insurance by e-file or any or filling procedure as indicate by the insurance company and then give a copy of what you have submitted to your service agent.

Now I have brand new windscreen with my 3M Crystalline Films not a cent from me... (it took them a day to complete the job, just leave your car in the morning and take back in the evening)
