Actually, that wouldn't entirely account for it, given that the Chinese population is roughly 50% that of the Malay population (according to recent census data).

 

There is definitely something else going on - either rapes with Malay female victims are simply more rampant, or that they are more often reported by Malay victims (as this guy claims), or *even* that the lousy police simply disregard many reports from non-Malays. Who knows?

 

Either way, he is an idiot for not having covered his bases by comparing his figures to the breakdown by ethnicity to show that the disparity still remains. This way, he is opening not just his sensitivity, but also his intellect, to question.
