Watch out for gp G!!

Group G is tough but IMO Group B is the toughest cos Australia is the strongest Asian team and Chile being South American has a bid advantage and of course the 2 finalists of 2010 Holland and Spain.

Group D with the 3 champions in Uruguay, Italy and England is also mouth-watering!

What's your prediction? I'm England supporter but don't think they will win.

My bets if not following the heart would be Germany or Spain.

Yahoo news: Man City stars and WAGs celebrate EPL title despite Nasri controversy

mancity-2626068-1DC3B55F00000578-298_634

Samir Nasri has been left out of Didier Deschamp's World Cup French squad that will go to Brazil, mostly due to his controversial antics at Euro 2012.

And his girlfriend Anara Atanes - seen above at the club's Premiership dinner celebration - has spoken out angrily on behalf of the midfielder, who scored the opening goal in City's 2-0 win over West Ham.

"F*** France and f*** Deschamps! What a s*** manager!" Atanes wrote on Twitter yesterday, only to clarify her point three minutes later: "In case u didn't read my tweet properly...I'll repeat myself...f*** France! And f*** Deschamps!"

In reference to Nasri's summer plans being left open after his exclusion from the tournament, she added : "Lets just get this straight! I'm not mad I get my boyfriend for 2 months.... I just think there's a level of respect to be had!"

Atanes's outbursts have already been poorly-received in France, where critics have accused her of ruining the player's future in the national team.

The messages also come one day after the 25-year-old British model enjoyed a celebratory night out with Nasri's Man City teammates and their families at Manchester Town Hall.

ESPN News: Rooney: England 'can all be heroes'

England striker Wayne Rooney is hoping he will finally hit top form in an international tournament at this summer's World Cup finals.

Manchester United hit-man Rooney has struggled to live up to the huge expectations that tend to surround him in the build-up to major competitions, with England boss Roy Hodgson suggesting on Monday that it was "very wrong to put the hopes of a footballing nation like England on the shoulders of one man."

Yet the 28-year-old admits he is eager to make up for his disappointing displays at the 2006 and 2010 World Cup finals with a star showing in Brazil.

"You always feel this can be your tournament," stated Rooney, in an interview published in the Daily Mirror. "It hasn't happened for me at the last two World Cups, but I've prepared as well as I can for this tournament. I'll be ready and fully fit and I'm really excited about that.

England might not even clear round 1.

Football team Germany is a reflection of the strength of German race.

The players are strong, trained at highest level possible, skilled, determined, Work as a team always in spite of having so many star players in the team... Only in few match they look tired... That's why Brazil/Italy Won the trophy... Otherwise it could be the Germans who would be out of reach by now.

Sorry don't quite follow your mail. U seem to be praising the Germans but then what's that got to do with Brazil/Italy having won the WC the most times??

Too bad she's not featured in this coming World Cup.

FIFA referee is internet sensation

Fernanda Colombo Uliana became an instant internet sensation when she officiated as a lineswoman during the Brazilian Cup match between Sao Paulo and CRB on 7 May 2014.

The 25-year-old personal trainer from Florianopolis, Brazil was recently granted official status as referee by football's international governing body FIFA, along with the refereeing committee of the Brazilian Football Confederation, Eurosport reported. She considers this recognition an achievement for herself and women in general.

Uliana was recently voted the hottest female official in the sport by more than 75 per cent of readers in an online poll by Brazilian magazine Hora. She is eyeing a full-time career in football.

She has since made her debut in Brazil's top flight football league when she officiated in the Serie A match between Atletico Mineiro and Cruzeiro on 11 May, the Sydney Morning Herald reported. Her refereeing abilities were criticised by some players, who commented that she was pretty but was not good at her job.

Was browsing the PC Show brochures & noticed this.

I'm already having the miotv gold pack as i can't do without my dose of BPL matches :D

however i yet to recontract for the free world cup since i'm not sure if i'll be catching them much due to the timing...

now pretty tempted by the Free 12 mths of HD-DVR set-top box given if recontract... since i'll be still be on the miotve(due to BPL) anyway, so might as well get this world cup thing for free... I've go check the world cup schedule & there're a few worthy matches playing at 12 midnight or 6am which i may be able to catch after all. Those at 3 or 4am ones i'll catch via the ondemand later.

Not sure if this promo only at the PC Show or can get at Singtel stores... i hate the parking & the crowd at Expo during such event [sweatdrop]

If I am not mistaken, Astro on the go also shows all the 64 matches at RM$100. For ala carte matches is only RM$6.

Hmmm streaming reliability is always subjective.

Should not be a problem if you are on 4g. Most of the time I watched BPL on mio stadium, not an issue. Only a minute lagging from real time I supposed.

Nope. I am relying on Maige tv. Might try the ala carte per match though if not able to watch at home. Rm$6 is less than $3. quite worth it. I think with the low take up rate for the world cup package by MIO, they are throwing in a lot of freebies to attract existing customers. Hope Singtel lose big time here.

due to 'hanging' problems wif mio tv set up box n f#$ktype attitude of stinktel, i cancelled it n spent last soccer season watching m, j, a, even usa league, so damn sian tat wifey also pity me hahahhhah, since cross carriage started, signed bpl n world cup package, cross carry to starhub, 2 days b4 end of bpl season and damn shiok watch man city win BPL n man utd finish 7th hhehehhe (no offence).

was charged $100+ for world cup package since i cross carry to starhub. stinktel staff said if use mio tv box den will be free wif bpl package, but since so many past problems wif mio tv box, i din mind pay the $100+ (actually boh pian cuz soccer fans are held at ransom) but checked latest bill n world cup package $100+ , waived off.

hope to have a good world cup cuz been enjoying watching it since a kid since 1978 n hope to see either argentina, uruguay or italy win it, hope next season bpl also a good strong finish like last season.

Hi bro,

You mean we can purchase the subscription from Singapore and stream the matches?

Or is it restricted to existing Astro subscribers and is just a link to their subscription?

I am also exploring other ways to watch the World Cup 'legally' but will definitely boycott Stinktel [:|]
