The wonders of modern media....overhyping those they want to glamorise. And many a gullible will swear by it.......hahaha! Hope they will get a thrashing come this summer....but i am certain there are thise that will say England is as good as its league!

 

We all know England is never a real contender. They are just there to make up the numbers. The top teams are always Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Germany and maybe France and Italy or even Portugal. England is so far behind.

 

The dream of winning the world cup will likely remain a dream for a long long time.

I am hoping Spain will play Brazil at the big one. Only this 1 game i think i will sacrifice my sleep. But Braxil is not as good as maybe a decade ago and of course pales in comparison to the greats of the 80s. But they are still one of the team to watch. England supporters (non-resident of England) forgets that EPL is full of foreigners that lights up the League...and actually they are paying to watch some of the stars in the footballing world plying their trade in an over-hype and overpaid league of over-rated English players bar some (and its not many)!

Ya... Spain vs Brazil in the finals will be very nice. Or Spain vs Argentina also good.

 

I don't think the English fans are ignorant of the fact that they have loads of FTs in their league. Their national team barely has more than 3 world class players. The rest are just good team players. Fans just chose to cover both eyes, cross their fingers and hope for the best.

Let's not direct everything at the government or Singtel for this matter. It is this corrupt yet ever greedy FIFA that's asking for such absurd pricing from Singapore simply because they believe we can afford it!

 

We have a choice -- refuse to be held ransom. I don't need to make the likes of Messi or CR even richer.

 

Internet is the greatest invention in modern history, isn't it? :)

yes they must outbid each other. so the $105 is the cost + profit. knn

another way is joint bid, but they cb dont want.

Just received confirmation from SingTel MIOTV that I can watch WC2014 for free cos I had been in 'Gold' package ... [grin]

 

I thought they had already inform all SingTel sunscribers over the press & news, why send a confirmation to me? ... :huh:

I thought you have to re-sign a new 2 yr contract before you get it free.

U mean you get free without re-signing? That's strange if so!

I believe what he meant was he was already somehow 'upgraded' to the Gold Pack and hence no need to pay extra to watch WC.

 

For the majority of us, our contract expired some time ago and now Singtel is trying to lure us back into this Gold Pack but at a much higer rate(~$65 if I remember correctly).

 

Fat hope, there's always other means to watch WC [grin]

Actually for me, I signed up Gold Pack in Nov 2013 and now they say if I want to watch free, will have to re-sign a new 24 mth contract w.e.f. now. There's no free watching unless I sign again.

Will likely do so since my contract is new so not much diff but certainly no free watching unless I re-sign. You are lucky then or maybe they screwed up to your benefit!!!
