kumquat 3rd Gear January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 Hi QQ expert, Is QQ 1.2 T good enough for normal day travelling? anyone can share the FC for QQ 1.2T for normal travelling between work and office eg: Tuas to Yishun? contemplating, QQ 1.2T and CX5 2.0...QQ still look good. reliability anyone can comment on that. best regards, QQxcite Hello. I am not QQ expert so I just want to say I don't know how to compare a 1.2T with the 2.0 NA CX5. Price and specs are totally different. Why aren't you comparing the 2.0 QQ with the CX5 instead? And what is good enough for normal day traveling? Is there a car that is not good enough?

Ha ha ha I can imagine , it is a wonder he didn't chase you out of Kah motors (seeing your mind is on their nemesis name). Some Vezel owners go to Kah motors to test drive ( as they couldn't do with pi) then hop over to pi place to buy Vezel. Some say heat with hair dryer easier to peel off while you can use lighter fluid or petrol to clean off the sticky areas. Don't use the fluid on your car paint however, it will remove your paint as well. Warning - Replacement tape, 3M outdoor mounting tape is more expensive than the chrome strips. Hi. U can try turpentine. TAKE NOTE NOT THINNER!Previously the workshop pasted and removed my boot lip on my accord a few times and they use that to clean off the residue adhesive. Don't use goo gone. No use. Test at the small area first to see if paint is ok. Edited January 27, 2016 by Itchyhand
starblazer 2nd Gear January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 http://www.qashqaiforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2597#p28545 Looks UK qashqai owners are experiencing this power loss or lag while pulling off from stop too. ."..... However, and here's where i'm going with this, sometimes the lag is considerably longer when pulling away. I would say of all pull away from stationary situations, 20% are trouble free. I barely notice lag and it feels normal. About 70% of the time there is that annoying hesitation or delay from pressing the accelerator to the drive picking up. Frustrating, very sometimes, but not doing any harm. Then there is the 10% of the time where the delay can be measured in seconds. It doesn't sound like long but you make loads of decisions and adjustments to the control of your car every second whilst driving. When this whole process stops, you know something isn't right and before you know it, the perfectly normal gap in the traffic is closing in on you. Its at this point the CVT fully engages and catapults the car forward. This is compounded by the fact that the car had started creeping forward slowly as soon as the brake is off and the accelerator is depressed putting you part way out of the junction or part way onto the roundabout. My biggest issue with all of this is the random, unpredictable nature of the lag. You have no control over it and it is dangerous. I've had a couple of "excursions" which would not have happened had I been on the clutch and connected with the car...."

Wanted to test XV but Subaru salesperson didn't want to entertain me. LOL XV different drive experience from normal Jap car due to its all whel drive and smooth low CG boxer engine plus chain driven cvt. Not as powerful but smooth (sometimes you don't realise you have accelerated up to speed limit until the meter. Also the AWD gives a nice quattro cornerning experience - nice to drive on twisty roads. Similarly for wet roads on rainy days. Interior for me personally is most comfortable in terms of the seat for both front and back compared to other cars.
Ttl1976 5th Gear January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 Just back from a spin in my wife's car. I would say not bad for a 1.2l engine. Handling is acceptable. Cant get used to the smal rear view mirror, ha ha ha..... All in all, was a good experience nonetheless. I was actually playing with the display control 70-80% of the time. The dashboard display kept displaying this annoying "setting" .....trying to get rid of it but no avail.... Nbz. Have to read the manual...... Tazzi80 3rd Gear January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 Sorry, can I ask some noob questions. How do you change the mounting tape? Would it come clean if just strip it off? I'm planning to buy some accessories (some chrome trims) and I read that their 3M mounting tapes are not reliable. Worried that it would fall off after weather worn. And where can I find the replacement mounting strips? Does everyone generally stick on the accessories themselves or get a workshop to do? Can use 3m adhesive removal for the leftover residues. It works well.
missysleepy 1st Gear January 27, 2016 Share January 27, 2016 It is natural that you want to take as little risk as possible wrt scratches with a $100+k asset. And to a certain degree I suspect most of us do a little of one of those things mentioned to avoid getting it scratch. So I would add to the list that : I look for a car which is newer preferably and more expensive than mine to park next to, a parked car who has their blinking blackvue camera facing mine (as deterrence), not parking under a tree (potential of falling branches, bird dropping).. I parked beside a BMW SKW plate also kenna ding on my door. Piss
