Steve99 Neutral Newbie January 5, 2016 Share January 5, 2016 Email invite from Renault marketing "All-New Renault Kadjar Exclusive Sneak Preview & Test Drive Invite" Date: 09 – 10 Jan 2016 (Sat – Sun) Time: 10am – 7pm (By RSVP only) Location: Renault Showroom, 28 Leng Kee Road S(159105) RSVP: Please............to book your preferred test drive slot by 8 Jan (Fri). how to go for test drive since its invite only? haha, can get to see how much similar these two twins are btw, strangely, i still ont find any power loss issue, cus i didnt floor the gas like you bros did? but after these posts i wonder if the eco mode did play a part in slow start? i know you bros did tell me before, but just to double check on myself, tell me if i did it correctly while the engine still in running in, conditions: 1. start stop is on 2. eco mode is on on moving off: 1. i stepped on the gas gradually, sometimes even slowly, torque is at first went to 1500 then hovered there 2. now i stepped on it abit quicker but not so hard, torque shot up to 1800, somewhere before 2000rpm observation: 1. noticed slight improvement in pickup after i stepped on the gas quicker than before but still not so hard. 2. still moving slower than others my guesses: 1. eco mode hindering? 2. i didnt step on the gas enough? 3. too slow on the gas? I'm abit particular on the stepping part, cus i'm used to flooring the gas on start off, so i dont want to hurt the engine ↡ Advertisement
Cove 1st Gear January 5, 2016 Share January 5, 2016 I will say heng that we bought from AD.Bro, So many problems and u still say heng. AD can only do their best to solve for u. My previous Nissan bought new also got many problems that TC cant solve till i tired of going back and i lived with it till i sold it. And the famous suspension konk sound still around after so many years. TC also say they lubed/adjusted my suspension but it comes back after afew days. And that was also when i got my car new many years back, i thought new models should not face this problem anymore. To me the N16 sunny is still the most reliable Nissan, but that fella really drink petrol like nobody business.

Basically, the car is controlling you. As long as no full throttle couple with driving with varying speed for the first 1600 miles, it should be considered finish run in. You should know others have been driving various Nissan models for many years bought directly from TC also. I have driven 2 Nissan models (still driving one) for total of 12 years and to date never heard / experienced the so called "famous suspension konk sound" you stated. Yes maybe some batches of QQ had it as we have been reading but not something that afflicts Nissan models over the years. Andrewtankw 1st Gear January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 Perhaps it's not the suspension but the steering rack. I also encounter this problem with my Nissan. The Service engineer also told me is normal.
Cove 1st Gear January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 Perhaps it's not the suspension but the steering rack. I also encounter this problem with my Nissan. The Service engineer also told me is normal. The sound is from the front and the sound will be very loud like the spring suddenly expand. Not sure is lower arm or steering rack or shock absorber. I also got the absorber changed by TC. AD tried to resolve till i tired of going back. I find it annoying as its a new car. My colleague driving the same model also faced the same problem. I gave up and lived with it. Nissan833 5th Gear January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 Is your CVT engine braking checked? Try out unchecking it, turn off the cvt engine braking. The startoff and crusing will be much much smoother. Pardon my noobness, where to check and uncheck this CVT engine brake feature? TY!

What I would like would have been more features such as those available with overseas models: all round parking cameras, built in TYre pressure monitoring system, blind spot warning system, nearby object warning , front radar cruise , auto tail gating etc

If TC brings in the model with these features such as blind spot warning, auto tail gating, the QQ will be even more irrresistable.
EricChan 5th Gear January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 (edited) Pardon my noobness, where to check and uncheck this CVT engine brake feature? TY!Off the top of my head, it is under chassis control . Click enter into that and there should be a box on engine brake . Unbox the tick in it, however you will find that the car goes into a free wheeling (akin to neutral gear) phase and the ride quality less controlled. I don't use it because you need a greater stopping distanxe Edited January 6, 2016 by EricChan

At the bottom of the steering wheel, next to carpet 2. A ring next to the turn switch 3. Somewhere inside the clock spring. This base on what I pick up from Nissan Rogue forum. Cashcow007 2nd Gear January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 Yeah I had this issue too. Happens when you slow the car so slow like it is going to stop but not at a halt yet and then you try to accelerate. I thought it was a CVT issue so I didn't complain about it when I send it back for the 1k servicing. Now that you mentioned it, seems like I stopped experiencing it after the first servicing....What did TC do ?After servicing no prob. Servicing mainly changed oil unless you tell TC specific prob and they will look into it.
Cashcow007 2nd Gear January 6, 2016 Share January 6, 2016 One thing tc told me it might be due to low fuel level when I encountered power loss (ard 40km to refill) which I think is trying to smoke me but anyway they did sw RL and it didn't happened again. What's sw RL ?
