From the long term perspective(look at the orange line above), the returns are declining. Takes a lot of guts for economic commentator to say Temasek not doing its job.  😁 (See below from 00:40 to 1:02)

Last year negative. This year 1.6%.

They say rising tide lifts all boats. Obviously not true. Tamasick boat must be made of lead, can't be lifted!

Temasek is well known in the industry to be made up of scholars. 
on paper talk soldier very good but real investment returns are mediocre at best. I think they should fire 50% of all portfolio managers in Temasek GIC,  maciam jiak liao bee on our money.
