Partitioning a room

anyone partitioned their common bedroom before ?

i am thinking of partitioning my common room of my 3NG flat... actually quite small already by itself into two smaller "rooms", separated by a drywall or some sort of partition with a sliding door.

each smaller room should be able to just house a bed and one more small cupboard.

before you jump the gun on rental, i am considering this because my father requires home nursing due to a sickness and i am considering hiring a stay-in caregiver for him as he has slight difficulties in moving around by himself.

so the room will be split in half - one for him and the other half for the caregiver.

so anyone got lobang or suggestions ?

If doing for care of the old man, I'd say be careful that the is enough room to move around the old man's bed, and help him up if need be...

Lucky you...good contractors are hard to come by, not like those in 80's...now most workers are bangla or tiongs...and have to go down everyday to ensure they did a proper job [dizzy]

yeah, like my wife and i always say: got pray, got blessed..

i read many nightmares where people spent 30k or more over reno and its badly done..

furthermore, its local company in imm..

in fact, if time permit, you can find many good workmanship in johor and at friction of the price..

its really cheaper compare to singapore..

from partition, to flooring, to cabinet..

in fact, after i finished my house, i kinda miss the lifestyle and fun of project management..

from nothing to end product, it really give me satisfaction..

too many, cannot advertise myself..

otherwise i don't mind doing sideline for newly homes to oversee their reno..

its really fun, from sourcing, negotiation, managing.. scolding people [laugh]

I hope the system can bring back the images.

Like to see how such partition looks like.

This is the best choice acoustic partition. The pattern 80 acoustic partition is a flexible space dividing partition wall. Unlike traditional fixed partition wall or floor track sliding partition system, these acoustic partitions system is a track-operated folding partition, based on an aluminum track on top. Besides, they are specially designed for noise reduction between the divided rooms.

Nice. Can buy and self install.
