Whoa!!! You must have braked pretty hard.. cos at their position, quite last minute then will spot them right? So how is AWWDEE's brakes? Tested and proven good?? :secret-laugh:

Just round the bend ... by that time, the laser would already have locked you in, if you had been above the speed limit.

 

Lasers today have ranges of >>200-300m!

Once you spot them ... they would also have already spotted you!

No need to brake hard. Just tap the brakes only. Wasnt too over the limit so still ok.

 

I had some CNY goodies in the boot. If jam brake, the goodies habis lah. Then wifey will pull my ears.

Today I was going to Sengkang Compass One and turning into the carpark from Sengkang East Way to Sengkang Square.

 

Spotted a TP/LTA bike and when approaching the zebra crossing between Compass One and Sengkang CC, I saw the officer armed with the camera pointed at the zebra crossing.

 

I was wondering what offence can be commited at a zebra crossing? Apologies if I am ignorant as this is the first time I encountered this scenario.

Maybe those who don't slow down at zebra crossings.

There have been cases of some drivers sped across crossings, knocking down pedestrians.

a lot of drivers don't stop at this zebra crossing for pedestrians, likely to catch such drivers

I was fine once at the zebra crossing because at zebra crossing all vehicles must slow down and stop that is what TP said. No point arguing just pay fine otherwise want to argue will waste one day and money at court.

This zebra crossing is highly utilized.. a driver may need to wait for sometimes to allow the stream of pedestrian to cross. At times u can see cars queue up quite far back. Some pedestrian you know lah.. can take their own sweet time to cross.. 

 

Look at area near Nex.. original zebra crossing but choked up the traffic.. now traffic light crossing which better manage the traffic condition there. 

 

I would suggest they change to traffic light crossing instead..

I think should be slow down. No need stop if no one crossing. Got TP warn me before also. But he only say need to slow down and check before continuing.

Encounter speed trap on Sunday morning along AMK Ave 5 towards Sengkang at the overhead bridge opposite those factories. Hope the guy was just having his morning coffee and not yet started work. [:/]  [sweatdrop]

They hide there very common. Especially during Sat & Sun morning.

That stretch very common. I pass by there quite often and will see them from time to time. Just don't speed on that stretch. Sometimes you may not even see a police van parked by the side. Btw, you are safe to be at 57km/h.. hehe..
