And when the drought ends, prepare for weeks of non-stop rain and flooding. What goes up must come down.

This is not exactly correct. What goes up must come down but can be 100 miles away from our Tiny island...

The Answer is Blowing in the Wind...

The different is that the contractors are using portal water (mean collecting from stream or rivers) and not our drinking water to water the plants. -_-

Unker Pini, it's potable water vs non-potable water lah.

Potable water = drinkable water e.g. tap water

Non-potable water = non-drinkable water e.g. river water

your engrish most powderful almost tricked me, bully me bo tuk che right [laugh][laugh]

Well same here. I will not wash it even in JB until we are all clear. Dirty car we won't die, no water to drink we all die.

The Govt is channeling new waster into reservoiurs

thats why it still look full

but we all cannot relag

must still save water

in order to help tide over this time of difficulty, i decided not to wash my truck until it coe-d [grin]

Water Planning and Management is really one of the best things done by PAP [thumbsup]

from what i understand, even if we turn on the desalination plants at full capacity everyday, it will only serve 10% of our water needs

so lets us not be complacent

but try to save water as much as we can! [grouphug]

with desalination, i think our water will last......

unless the sea evaporates too

Not sure how current the info is, but have read that seawater desalination is able to supply 25% of SG’s daily water needs. One of SG's desal plant shown below. The other 3 sources of water are.....

“Desalination is one of the SG’s “Four National Taps”, which also include water from local catchments, imported water and reused wastewater, known as NEWater..”

Desalination expensive

If that's the case, I can't imagine the next person that is going to have their butt splashed with unflush toilet bowl.
