I am saving water by drinking less and peeing less ...

Still no good, cos I can't contribute to recycling of my pee...

So, I decided to drink more water ... after-all, we are all recycling :)

everything is aimed at us from tolls, road charge (VEP)..... It's a challenge to aim and hit the little red dot in shooting = marksmanship.

No mention if this new tax aimed Singapore.

easiest and cheapest method is to get a very strong storage rack

those storeroom type

then you put the rack in the kitchen

then you put the ashing machine on the top rack

when you finish pangsai, pull the grey pipe and put inside the toilet bowl

don't pipe water into the flushing system

the soap will harden the rubber seal, then leak water liao

all in all still super troublesome

You are like the home diy version of Macgyver. Always a solution..

People in US are smart... but also crazy stupid in many ways... the unbridled use of groundwater for vast irrigation of a desert or to sustain Las Vegas is one of them...

Vast areas of California’s Central Valley are sinking faster than in the past as massive amounts of groundwater are pumped during the historic drought, Nasa said in new research released on Wednesday.

The research shows that in some places the ground is sinking nearly two inches each month, putting infrastructure on the surface at growing risk of damage.

I still remember during the 80s and 90s, there's rationing exercise conducted by SCDF...

Each household will receive a card to collect water at the main water point..

Fun and tiring...

In actual fact, there's no real lack of water.

Water is always recycled 100% in nature. It does not get lost or burned out in space.

The problem is the distribution and the cost of getting it in or out.

I believe there are water catchment like the one in front of KTPH to use it for watering.

The same concept should be use in all new town. At least provide more water ways and parks for recreation and suit a purpose when water can be recycled for watering the plants.

If you use aircon at home, instead of the discharge hose going into the drain, you can collect the water.

And it's quite clean, sometimes less dissolved solid than tap water. I checked this with a meter.

You might not want to drink it, but you can use it to flush your toilet. I'd even use it for the car radiator.

Singapore to supply additional water to Johor

SINGAPORE - Singapore has begun supplying additional drinking water to Johor since Aug 14, said national water agency PUB.

This is in response to a request for assistance from Johor's water regulatory body Badan Kawalselia Air Johor (BAKAJ).

The current dry weather has severely affected water levels in Johor's Sungei Layang dam. Parts of Johor Baru has commenced water rationing from Aug 16 and will continue to do so till Sep 15.

BAKAJ had requested PUB to provide an additional five to six million gallons per day of potable water to supplement the water supply in Johor Baru during the water rationing period.

Moral of the story ? Please do not laugh at our little water plan which is to save guard our future, especially with regard to NeWater. Not only this help address increasing water demand and address unpredicable weather pattern, but may also greaterli reduce outbreak of conflict (read "war") over water resouce..

Kudos to PUB.
