But, for manual car, to sell to dealer is a waste. There are a group of buyers specifically eyeing for them since you can hardly find any manual cars now in the market. Once you adertised, easily sell within a week.

Manual car FTW!

Aiyah, thing is dealer will come up with all the things he can think of to down the price of your car. It's what they do. If the price too low (do own research before hand), don't sell lor. Not like you die die must sell to this particular dealer mah.

There is always a market for everything. Every salesman need to know that.

Actually selling to dealer may not be that bad idea. Hassle free, take $$ and go.

I did attempt to sell my old car many years back. Put up ad on newspaper(that time no sgcarmart), but end up receiving many calls from dealers. A few calls from buyers but they also quoted me lousy price, plus have to drive to them for viewing.

because my friend told me he doesn't want the buyer to know him, in case if any problem in future the buyer look for him,

btw, he told me his car AC compressor going to fail, due for 80k major service, and gearbox "gear biting" in hot condition, [:p]

Well, $10k is the cost that your friend will have to lose if "he doesn't want buyer to know him".........

It's ok. i'm sure your friend has learn his lesson well, and will DIY the next car......

My question is how much the profit is in general?

Whether is worth to join it

well, if direct seller do not give a significant lower price then dealer, why should anyone buy from them?? no lemon law coverage.

its worth 6 months of installment plus cost of replacement parts. heard a buyer bought a lemon and got to overhaul the gearbox, he went to dealer with the lemon law and got that change at dealer's cost!

Can you share which dealer is willing to give "6 months of installment plus cost of replacement parts"? I guess your friend is lucky. If every dealer undertakes responsibility, the motorcar industry will not have been the "most disputes" category.

not my friend. Someone who sold a light blue BMW 320I few months back. [sweatdrop]

to put in context, I meant to say we are insure for 6 months at least, given that business to consumer are covered under lemon law.

My friend recently wanted to buy new car, sold his 08 Avente 1.6(M) to 2nd hand car dealer at a low price 30K, the dealer's excuse is manual no buyer, so cannot give higher,

immediately the dealer advetisted the car at sgCarMart price S$41888, and after 2 weeks sold out,

My friend felt "chopped carrot" [knife]

looks like 2nd hand dealers very easy earn $$$, thinking to join this industrial [rolleyes]

Haha i also, i saw my car advertise by the dealer 13k more ex than i sold and hoola 2 weeks sold also. My jaw drop while i scratch my hair
