great to see Ric out run Vet!! [thumbsup]

For 2nd time this season, Vet has been asked to give way, for whatever reasons anyone can give, doesn't matter.

That's for screaming at Web to get out of his way last year....

Hamilton really made a good decision to move to Mercedes. Just at the right time. Poor McLarens got lapped today..... Hope their next year partnership with Honda will change their fortune

what was the blunder of chequer flag huh? run extra lap?

kobayashi overtaken move in the last lap was not counted ...

  Quote
The rule stipulates that if for any reason the flag is waved before the leading car has completed the scheduled number of laps, the race will be deemed to have finished when the leader last crossed the line on the previous lap.

The adjustment had no impact on those scoring points but Caterham's Kamui Kobayashi was moved back a place to 18th after he passed back-of-the-grid Marussia rival Jules Bianchi on what should have been the last lap.

McLarens problem is due to car design issue and not the engine. They have the best engine in the grid now just that the car did not give them the other half of the package to outrun the other teams. Going to be another problematic year for them.

yep. I guess Hamilton saw that happening and coming and decided to make a move. And he really made it a very good timing.

ferrari car also cannot make it ... don't know is engine or aero-dynamic-package issue

see how rosberg overtake alonso in the straight line in the last few lapse to be no. 2

alonso don't even bother to fight because he knows "no fight" car-to-car

after rosberg overtook alonso in straight line even have ample time to get the racing line before the turn

and in ferrari team, raikonnen lost his 'mojo' liao?

I think its both team and personal gains for Ham. He needs to spend a lot of his time to make his team and sponsors happy but not so much of these in Merc.

Its more of an engine issue. Merc power unit are 25km/h faster than either of their competitor's. This is because the layout of the Turbo unit is completely different hence giving the Merc Power Unit an advantage.

KR says he still getting used to the car. Ferrari is known to be difficult to drive and only the best driver can tame it.

The F1 season currently favours the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS due to their superior engine and skilled drivers (more a Lewis than Nico fan). I was glad Alonso took third place in the Shanghai GP, he is one of the best drivers out there.

I hope the playing field will even out quickly, if not, it will start turning to a year where Mercedes AMG PETRONAS dominates and wins the Driver and Constructor Championship. Similar like previous years where Redbull Racing consistently outperforms the rest of other teams.

Begs the question whether F1 boils down to average F1 driver in a very good car / poor car; very good driver in very good / poor car.
