Hit and Run at Public Carpark

Just quickly share an incident.

 

My car was parked legally in a parallel parking lot along Bukit Timah in front of the row of shop houses (chipounette cafe).

 

1 expat lady approached us when we returned to the car n told us she witnessed a car in front of us reversed, knocked my front bumper, driver came down, took a look, and drove off…. She even gave us the other car VRN and her own phone number willing to be witness to the incident.

 

We thanked her, went to the Bukit Timah police station nearby and made the report.

 

Nothing happened for the next 1 week. Finally i called the station, they advised me to call an IO, I called him, and was told he was still investigating.

 

2 weeks or so passed when we received a letter to say they are investigating the matter.

 

Months passed and finally I sold the car.

 

Moral of story?

Watched n watched? Did he brushed against yr vehicle? Can't see any signs. If hv report. Higher chances of locating compared to posting here.

Ic, in that case with the revised ruling. U could file "hit n run" n claim him.

 

Chances of looking for pte settlement thru here are like "looking for needles in haystack.

i encountered a hit and run by a lorry (got video but not very clear). Attached a screenshot. only can see the alphabets and last digit. poh mata already but IO told me most impt is the 4 digit...so i know i have to ask for help here. I do have the video which i took from a cctv from a shop. Did all the evidence search on my own. TP came and only recorded my case. IO told me wait for news.
