Somehow, I feel that out of the possible 15 points attainable, we would get only 13, but that would be sufficient for us to achieve the title.

There will still be a twist or 2 left in this season, just to make everyone to suffer a heart attack or 2.

Whatever the outcome, whether we finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd, this is one of the best season we have in a while, esp with their swashbuckling attacking play and sometimes suicidal defending.

They made Anfield a fortress again, like the good old days when as an away team, you come to Anfield expecting to be beaten, only question is by how much.

Whatever the result, it should not take away anything from this young team. Nobody expected them to be in for a shout at the start of the season.

As such, will sit back and enjoy the last 5 games. Hoped my heart and mind can stay calm too.... (easier said than done)

YNWA......

Let Man C have a twist in their season, by losing to Pool by a huge margin :D

Let the whole world see that even with their wealth, they can't buy a champion team !

Let the whole world see that beautiful attacking team deserve a championship medal !

Let the whole world see how Pool fans all over the world united to sing You Will Never Walk Alone :)

Bring on Man C this Sunday at our fortress Anfield !

Though we don't have the largest crowd & stadium, but we have the most passionate and knowledgeable fans in the world :)

Win it for our 96 supporters !

Lucas is definitely better defensively, but he will never make those delicious thru pass made by coutinho nor score a goal.

that is what you think or what you see?

I saw him string together a few good passes inside west ham box especially the 1 2 he had with Saurez(or was it another player) and had our striker been more clinical would had scored.

Based on what I have seen so far. I am referring to those defence splitting thru pass that land nicely n just right for the striker to control. This kind of skill I truly believe is natural and cannot be taught. Coutinho had done this many times.

Lucas was a box to box player before been converted to become a DM. I will believe that he does have to possess to some extend this talent in order for him to hold that position and win the Player of the year in Brazil before coming over to Liverpool.

guess what they talk about him having defend splitting pass.

what I think you mean about coutinho is his Hollywood style long range defend splitting pass.

Yup J22 is right. Lucas is a box to box player that can setup goals.

He was very good even before joining Pool.

He was converted to a defensive midfielder by Rafa

and he does the water carrier job without complain but he can do a lot more.

Hope we also sign Micah Richards who will make a brilliant attacking full back for us.

We seem to get a lot of good players from City and usually free.

It's *some* of the Everton FANS who are saying that - not the club or players itself....the truth is even if the throw the game against shitty, doesn't necessarily mean we won't win the title. So they could end up in a lose-lose situation for themselves...

Agreed.

Everton could end up losing big. Just think of the potential revenue loss next season if they fail to get that 4th spot placing.

They are pretty much in the same boat as us - the ball is in their hands. To secure UCL qualification, they must win all remaining matches - this, considering that Arsenal's remaining fixtures are easier against minnows.

He is right by the way. Last season we struggled in the BPL and attained 7th position. And midway thru last season, most of us fans would rather Liverpool not get involved in Europe so as to concentrate on the league for this season to attain Champion's league qualification. And we had surpassed that goal, and what better time than this season to clinch the Premier League because there is no other distractions or competitions except for the BPL title.

Yep maybe not....but neither do we have the benefit of Russian oil money and not to mention UCL revenues (you can't have it both ways - wanting the revenue but not wanting the "distraction") to buy players for fun....everyone works within their own parameters and in the end whoever wins, fair game to them....and if he really feels that way, then he could have thrown away their UCL games....

I believe Mourinho is quietly admiring Liverpool. If only we are bankrolled by oil money like Chelsea or Man City, he would take up the manager's post for Liverpool. He feels that Liverpool cannot progress because of our budget constraint and keep on harping about that even when BR was appointed manager 2 years back. And if u remembered reading the interview when he was still in Madrid; why would someone from Spain even want to comment on Liverpool?

Wanker once famously called him a voyeur.....

Actually I like the current situation that we have value for money players, when we do well, it feels special....if we were fulled by Russian or Arabian oil and have all the big star players, winning would be mandatory and wouldn't feel as much of an achievement. Of course I hope we are just a bit richer so that the whole salah episode would not have happened....but I don't envy the likes of chelski and shitty....

No, not the fans but the players. There was this article in Mailonline I read yesterday but today cannot find , I had wanted to post but office IE kept hanging due to firewall. I'm sure I did not see wrongly, it was mentioned by the players themselves. Serious!

Those 2 CL games will tire them out and going for the CL will make them lose focus on the PL. Hehe.
