He is clearly off form

expected lah.... very difficult to maintain. NVM left 11 games to go. Give him one more off game and whack all the way for last 10 games [;)]

on the game, I was surprised Shelvey was subbed out at half time. He was doing well [confused]

and please let spurs trip up [;)]

ok, good nite buys. win is a win, but really bad for the heart

Suarez better score 2 more to register 25 league goals....

He will be the only liverpool player after Fowler to do that.

Think Swansea put in a DM to counter Coutinho or Henderson's surge forward.

A brace each from both Sturridge and Henderson.

Victory at Home, suicidal defending, goals galore, ex player scored, ultimately a precious victory with 3 hard earn points.

Credit to Jonjo for his subdued celebration after leveling at 2-2. Anfield applauded him! Nice gesture all round.

Too bad, seems like he gotten injured and was replaced at HT.

welcome back ;p

Suarez not scoring is fine.. his cross for DS to score.. what skill!

i dun care how we win, as long as we win... but it dun hurt to practice some defending

When we beat fulham in the last minute ppl say its mark of champions. So today can win despite defending like idiots is mark of champion also.

after the next 3 games away, and we are still within 4 points at the top, then yes, we can aim higher..

i think we are more in danger of losing 4th than winning the lge ;p

Yes our defence was very poor but a win is a win. 3 points more important than any thing else. On hind sight in the last two matches the team show a fighting spirit. Never give up keep on fighting till the last kick. A good sign that better things will come.

Thks... was away for holiday

Well, the defence needs a Monster DM to help cover the gap between two CBs.... Lucas is our best and clearly not the perfect fit... hope we bring in one this summer transfer window.

As for top 4 or title, the cliche is still "the next game is the most important game...."

[laugh][laugh][laugh] only Pool fans can say that .... I suspect BR does not conduct defensive drills, or else why can we be so farked-up ??

Actually it was said by one of the soccernet pundits....

Good weekend for us. Opening up a 6 points gap from spurs and everton. A bit of breather here.

No team is easy to beat(*), Spurs paid the price. Thank Norwich for that!

*note: except Moyes' team. [laugh]

I have to say the way Mignolet commanded the penalty area is not helping the over defence. Mignolet may be an excellent shot stopper but compare him against the way Reina dictate the area directly, Mignolet has a lot more to learn.

When Reina was playing, you can clearly see the understanding between the defenders. When Reina has the ball at his feet, defenders will spread themselves out to play like as in the goalkeeper is a sweeper. This is a very distinct understanding Reina and the defenders. There was an instance whereby Skrtel expected Mignolet to come out for the ball but he didn't. And Skrtel was left having to clear the ball and was pressured into a throw-in.

I disagree with BR about the defending that it was individual decision making. I believe Mignolet needs to be coached how to command the defense and forge an understanding between defenders.

there was one instance where Skrtel was shielding the ball for him to come out collect but he stayed rooted in his box. Skrtel cleared the ball then remonstrated with Mignolet

sigh .... after so many years we still haven't got a confident and commanding keeper. Reina almost got there but dunno why regressed

could it b that mignolet is considered a newcomer, thereby afraid to shout n command to his defenders? but watever the reasons are, the back 4 n keeper needs to train together harder. lack of understanding between the CBs n keeper is hurting the team. i'm sure the attackers are pissed that despite them scoring for fun, the team is not where they can b.

that being said, to b fair to them, i think the injuries suffered by the different defenders at different times are not helping either.

when the defenders are confident with the keeper, it will show...

and right now minolet is not giving them the confidence... his kicking still leaves a lot to be desired probably leading to the lack of confidence to the centre backs

with SG playing in the DM role, Henderson cannot be playing the old SG role... too much space at the defensive half, but problem is that seems to be henderson best position. he is growing so much confidance that he is justifying his price tag, not that can be said of JA :(

Can Gary Mac teach SG how to play the qtrback role withour relinquishing defensive solidity? hehe
