I predict a 3 - 1 score in favour of Liverpool.

Just have to watch out for the crosses and high balls, most importantly, be first to the nod downs from AC......

since big sam will bypass the midfield... why would u want to put two holding midfielders?

[confused]

Those 2 will sit deep in front of the defence and help to clear the long balls or spread play to the wings. I doubt our back four can handle the pressure if West Ham keep on bombing us with long balls, especially during counter when our full backs join in the attack and leave a gaping hole behind.

This game against Ham is so much more important, that I hope our players are not given undue pressure on themselves.

Just play their normal game, and grab an early goal to settle their nerves.

Having said above, I, myself, am having some nerves now... Can't wait for the match tonight at 11pm...

Let us all Pool fans come in and cheer our team to success ! Update this forum page and make it exceed 100 pages by the time the season ends...

Let us dream, for We Will Never Walk Alone !

i think the formation will depend on how wide pool wanna play... i think lucas will be on the bench, toss up between PC and RS for the last starting spot.

i find PC more influential when he starts than coming on after 60 min... RS pace will trouble the tiring WH legs

So u opt for a JA - SG - JH 4-3-3?

I just came back fm pool. The odd nw for pool win is 1.25 while 4 plus for draw and 7plus for hm win. See us so up. Hmm I change my prediction then.3:0 to pool. Hahaha

Think the biggest question is: start JA to beef up the midfield and allow JH to track Nolan or start Coutinho to dismantle Westham

I reckon ja might not be as productive for team pumping long ball.

What is this buzz about AC? He is not with us becos he's a very expensive flop. Did he make any impact at WH? I would not worry about him. I only worry when the crosses come in, we may score an og.

The defence is settled, keep.

SG and JH keep. JA provide slightly more mobility than Lucas. I think he may start esp away game.

Pc in the hole, LS and DS to roam up front

So 4-3-3? Pc and LS kind off play more like AM ;p

I think so too for JA...

JA will probably be sent out in 65 min if we lead by 2 goals

The aim is still to score one early... stir up WHU... then pass them to death n keep the ball short n on the ground... WHU is much older team... so a second round of bombardment in the last 15min of 1st half will hopefully bring us a second goal (or third goal)

What is this buzz about AC? He is not with us becos he's a very expensive flop. Did he make any impact at WH? I would not worry about him. I only worry when the crosses come in, we may score an og.

I wonder if the media is trying to stir him up for the game.... or trying to soften the hard landing he felt when dumped by liverpool?

I go for SSS attack cos need to press high..... to disrupt long balls to Carroll

SG or JH will pick up the loose balls and Kevin Nolan in midfield leaving Coutinho time and space to orchestrate play...

Yes we need contiho to spread those early passes for sss. JA probably come on to strengthen and hold score.

I expect us to launch waves of lightning fast attack from the whistle with through passes. Sterling to attack the wide areas to pin back the full backs n encourage the Hammer's wingers to get stuck in midfield...
