Dun know if this have been posted, Liverpool will face Chelsea at Anfield on 27th April (Sunday).

Chelsea will have the first leg of CL either on 22/23 April and the second leg on 29/30 April.....

Wonder how will Chelsea face up to 3 important games within 6-8 days......

They will do well for the games on 22/23 April and 29/30 April.

But lose badly for the game in between.

:D

city defence is weak. kompany and nastasic yet to really gel. and kolorov is really not very good.

this is something SAS has to exploit.

midfield wise. city is stronger by far. yaya toure and friends will dominate pools mf. player for player diff class.

man city attack. aguero dzeko and jovetic will cause pool prob. esp since skrtel and agger haven't really been v solid. if skrtel can cut out silly mistake. maybe got chance.

I think draw most likely. key is stopping yaya toure. if man city dominate mf. then game over

Yaya Toure will dominate? Even little Jay Spearing got the better of him.

Match Review: Liverpool 3 Manchester City 0

Andy Carroll scored his first goals in a Liverpool shirt as the Reds overpowered a lacklustre Man City side at Anfield. Liverpool bossed the first half and made full use of their superiority, storming into a three goal lead by the 35th minute, which enabled them to control the pace of the second half and stroll home to three points.

Overview

After Tottenham’s 3-2 win over Stoke on Saturday, a win was essential for Liverpool to maintain even slim hopes of claiming 5th place but, with a depleted side against City’s vast array of expensive talent, there were few who held out hope for such before kick off. Youngster John Flanagan made an excellent début at right back whilst Lucas Leiva and Jay Spearing, a midfield pairing which had looked so bereft of ideas against West Brom, made Gareth Barry and Yaya Touré look anything other than £36M worth of talent.

What formation do you think BR will set up against Man City?

4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3?

If Agger is fit, do you prefer Agger or Sakho? Will you play 2 CBs or 3 CBs?

Whether its 2 holding midfielder or 3 across the middle of the park... two of them will be holding role or defensive role.... SG and JH seemed to be starting 2...

Question is who will partner SG and JH : Lucas or Allen or Coutinho?

Sturridge and Suarez will start..

Who will get the nod to start with SAS?Sterling or Coutinho or Moses

If I were BR, I would expose City's back line with our attacking pace. I think their defence is not as watertight as Chelsea. They play a high line of defence and if Coutinho, Sturridge, Sterling and Suarez use their pace well, then its advantage Liverpool. Gerrard need to partner Lucas to stifle their midfield dynamo, Toure and Fernandinho. Henderson and Lucas should take turns orchestrating attacks from the back. Hopefully Gerrard and Lucas partnership could cover our attacking fullbacks when they join in the attack.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea Could Be Moved to Aid Blues' Champions League Charge

Chelsea's top-of-the-table clash with Liverpool later this month could be moved to aid the Blues' Champions League campaign.

The West London outfit made it through to the last four of Europe's elite club competition on Tuesday, winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge after a 3-1 first-leg loss, to oust Paris St-Germain on the away-goals rule.

The Premier League has confirmed it will move one of Chelsea's games this month to avoid them having to play twice in three days, as reported by Matt Barlow in the Daily Mail:

The Premier League insist they must be fair to all 20 clubs and not help only those involved in Europe but they have confirmed Chelsea will not be asked to play on a Sunday before a Champions League semi-final game on a Tuesday.

Friday's Champions League draw will confirm which of Chelsea's semi-final legs will be played on a Tuesday rather than a Wednesday.

Whichever of Chelsea's two Sunday Premier League games scheduled later this month precedes this leg, home against Sunderland on April 20 and away to Liverpool on April 27, will then be moved.

This will be something of a comfort for manager Jose Mourinho, who complained last month that Premier League teams in Europe are hamstrung by domestic fixture lists.

As noted in Barlow's article, the Portuguese complained: "Maybe it does not matter what English clubs do in Europe."
