To be honest, City is the better team and to come back to equalize against a 2-0 deficit is remarkable. The Reds simply thrive on momentum from the start but that practically fizzles out in the 2nd half. Even after getting a 3rd goal, the Reds were mostly on the defensive, albeit unnervingly.

The red card on Hendo may look expensive because it means 3 match suspension, and that Stevie G can ill afford to pick up a yellow during his absence.

P. S.

still..as a Red fan, I am glad to take 3 points any day.

hard to say....cos hendo could have potentially stop a threatening counter attack with that lunge as it waste precious time and stop.city momentum

I also think the henderaon tackle was a stupid one. Really don need to do that. The most if he loses the ball, jus pull back tje player. Will get yellow only.

Now the bigger threat is chelsea. Theyr only 2 pts back, so pool's game with them is now the biggest game. N then meet palace, which is no easy meat ever since pulis take charge. Remember, they beat chelsea recently.

Kudos to ManC for a great fight and their manager Manuel Pellegrini for being a class act. Other Managers (you know who) will surely KPKB.

Pellegrini : "I don't want to say we lost the game because of the referee,” he said. The Chilean continued after the game with a measure of defiance. "It's not the end of the Premier League. But if they win 14 games in a row, maybe they deserve to win the title."

By beating City, the team will believe that they can beat anyone. The confidence and spirit is at the highest level that I has not seen for years.

Though a bit arrogant at this stage, I believe we will go on and win the next 4 games to lift the title.

Dare to dream.

it's actually true. it's not over yet. the 3 teams are all still in it. 1 slip up will b the end of their chance. but for all 3 teams, i think pool is the most excited n pressured to win. for city, it is almost a requirement for them to win. chelsea also, but bcos of their lack of "football" abilities, they r the least favourite among the neutrals. for pool, it is almost unthinkable that they are now at the top.

so somehow, the position has raised expectations for pool. hope they dont get too excited n pressurised for nothing.

The ST has only 1/2 page on Pool massive win over Man City, comparing to TNP, it's really pathetic !

Let's us enjoy our win over Man C, afterall it gained us 3 massive precious points, and at the same time, halting Man C progression.

Like what our captain SG said, the most important match now is the next match against Norwich !

Rest, recharge and re-strategize our formation against the Canariea.

Hope LS can score his hat-tricks again, against them :)

Currently 4th from the bottom, Norwich is likely going down if you look at their remaining fixtures :-

- Norwich vs Liverpool

- ManU vs Norwich

- Chelsea vs Norwich

- Norwich vs Arsenal

Which means that they're likely to come out fighting to the teeth for survival.

On the title race...

Although everyone says the title is for Liverpool to lose, I would still pray for Chelski or ManC to drop points along the way. Chelsea's UCL 1st leg away match with Athletico Madrid could not have come at a better time. I'm also hoping Arsenal (with easier fixtures) to ply pressure on Everton for the 4th spot placing, especially since the latter still has to play ManC at Goodison Park.

Agree, Pool was lucky to win, considering MC chances and 3 potential game changing incidents - Skrtel clearance with hand in penalty box, LS dive and Shako mistimed tackle without touching ball.

But definitely happy with 3 massive pts.

Skrtel's hand ball is not intentational... his hand was moved by Sakho's shoulder iirc... and Skrtel was looking away..

having said that, everything happened in a flash...

i din even noticed the handball until i saw the replay

Sakho's tackle is 50-50... Dzeko does not seemed to have full control of the ball... and most importantly, Sakho was in front of Dzeko...

Suarez was lucky not to get sent off....

Clattenburg probably decided not give Suarez a yellow card as he had just given Suarez one for the tackle on Demichelis
